If the Packers run the ball more, there won't be as much chance for Wisconsin alumni to tip and bat balls.

True, but his tackles at or behind the LOS could skyrocket!

After being in Houston 2 days the affection for JJ MegaWatt down here is very high.
Tonight my limo driver became horrified when I informed him we had 2 OLB's from USC. He mentioned how great our team may have been had we been able to pair Watt with Claymaker.
This city is really cranked up for Sunday night.
The Packer nation will be there also, in full force!!!
I'm assuming this is the first time we've been underdogs since the Atlanta playoff game
That's hard to believe Wolf Pack
In retrospect, my guess is they shouldn't have been favored against SF earlier this year
When the schedule came out I thought the game at Houston might be their most difficult test
Not expecting them to win but if they can pull it off it might be what they need to right the ship

Houston has guys that remind us of Reggie White. Chuck keeps reminding me of Reggie White.
Fair or not, this game is on McCarthy.
Houston is playing like last years Packers while the Packers are playing like last years Viqueens, you tell me who is going to win(hint:it shouldnt be hard)hopefully it wont be a blowout in Texas unless its the Packers doing the blowing.
This will be a difficult game... But for some reason, I'm optimistic.

That doesn't mean I'm wrong. Only way we would know that is if he's playing as a 43 End and compare his production. I don't know why you're being critical of my comment, it's actually a complement of your crush. I'm saying as good as he is as a 34 End I think he would be even better as a 43 End.
Wade Phillips is having him do more at 3-4 DE than I've ever seen. I doubt a 3-4 DE has ever eclipsed 10 sacks before, and its not due to lack of talent; most 3-4 schemes don't allow the DE to rush upfield like Watt does. They prefer those DE's to takes up blockers. But Wade obviously saw the talent and changed his scheme to accommodate.
I don't think it's a reach to say that Watt might put up better stats in a 4-3 defense only because a 4-3 DE is typically asked to do more to attack the ball than a 3-4 DE. But he's been playing the best 3-4 DE that I've ever seen, so the argument is moot.

Watt = One helluva football player. Scheme be damned.

That's some serious funk Osh. I'm wearing my 92 proudly today. Had tickets for game with associates and got into a real bad something this morning that shut me down for the evening. Meat and touch some funky things walking into cane fields this time of year. Sneakers and ankle socks may have been a poor choice.
Ankle socks?
You caught a nerd rash?
But seriously, sorry to hear.
Sucks to miss a game.

For the Texans
Actually, looking at the schedule, Green Bay will win their next 4 games to go to 6-3, then have their bye.
Book it!
Part 1 of a 4 part series underway.

.....
wasnt Bruce Smith a 3-4 defensive end that did pretty well in sacks.

Wade went with Jay Ratliff as a one-gap style NT in Dallas also, for example. He doesn't seem to be a "linemen eat & linebackers flow" coordinator. Kind of like when the Packers had KGB on one side and two DL would eat blockers Usually one end and one tackle) and two would penetrate.
Considering the HOU base D is a 4-2-5 one should not be surprised that Watt is playing well as a 3-4 DE. How often are they in a true 3-4 alignment?
