The Brewers' recent prospect stockpiling was reflected Friday, when MLBPipeline.com unveiled an updated list of baseball's Top 100 prospects that included five Brewers farmhands, led by shortstop Orlando Arcia at No. 6.

You know.

I have MLB Ticket and thought of canceling...maybe I'll just keep it and watch a young team evolve. 2 kids in top 8 gives reason for optimism.

Big day for farmhand hitters

From the MiLB update-

CF Keon Broxton extended his hitting streak to 12 games after hitting 2 home runs for Colorado Springs yesterday. He is batting .396 (19-for-48) in that span. The Lakeland, FL native is batting .366 (26-for-71) with 4 doubles, a triple, 8 walks, 7 home runs and a .438 OBP in his last 17 games with the club after hitting .182 (4-for-22) in his first 6 games. Overall in 22 games with the Sky Sox, Broxton owns a .323/.406/.634 slash line with 12 steals and leads the team and system with 7 home runs.

First name "Manny" and last name beginning with a "P"? Bad memories.

Being able to pull the trigger on a trade for prospects is one thing.

Being able to put together an organization that has solid player development is another.

I hope stearns can do it.

In the Southern league, he is 10th in RBI's, 5th in HR's, 20th in OBP, 11th in SLG, 14th in OPS.  Would like to see a much higher OPS from a top prospect (.726),   He's endured some woeful stretches where he can't hit anything.  He's also 21.
