The Packers might as well change their name to the Green Bay Thompsons as this is finally his team. 58 players in 6 drafts have been chosen by Ted Thompson any many more notable rookie free agent signings. Looking at a current Green Bay Packer’s Depth Chart will tell you that most of the team is his. Out of the 53 active players on the roster heading into Super Bowl XLV 44 players were acquired through the draft or signed as undrafted free agents. The rest with the exception of Donald Driver and Chad Clifton were all brought to the team after Ted Thompson signed on as GM.

The move for Rodgers as most can tell is a very good one. Rodgers is now considered arguably one of the Top 5 QB’s in the league. Thompson took the declining career of Charles Woodson and made him into a Defensive Player of the Year. He believes in hard work and good character over talent. Maybe because while playing 10 years in the league he only started eight. Whatever the case may be he has the Packers on the brink of being the best team in the entire world, yet still the “Fire Thompson” websites remain. I doubt he minds.

ROTTT.
Not sure who of substance he has been able to bring in. Cheap bastard never spends in FA.

Here is a great one that got away. Pretty much the difference for us not making the superbowl this year.
Interesting to think how much influence Ron Wolf has on this team to this day. TT mentioned in a post-NFCCG interview that every member of the scouting staff has mentored under Ron at some point. TT said (paraphrasing), it's Ron's system that built this current team.

"The Packer Way" indeed.

They all fell into his lap, no one else wanted them. How else do you explain Eric Walden being unemployed at the end of October?
Top 5 moves by TT

Gotta love #5 but I think I'd have to put trading up for CM3 right there.

5. Not trading for Marshawn Lynch. When Packers running back Ryan Grant went down for the season, there was a lot of pressure to acquire Lynch from the Bills at the trading deadline. Thompson passes in part because he has rookie James Starks on the roster. Starks has proven to be a valuable player in this Super run.
Another read about Uncle Ted choosing to play the quiet role.

I did like this quote; "The negatives or the positives don't really affect me," Thompson said. "Quite frankly, very few people know what they're talking about."

Timesfour obviously being the exception.
Top 5 moves and not a mention of the best RB or undrafted free agents Tramon Williams and Sam Shields...

Should instead have a "Top 5 non-moves" which would include Lynch, Moss, Haynesworth, passing shiny free agents, Barber, etc etc etc.
