I'm gonna say AVP ain't no Edgar Bennett when it comes to WR coach.

I saw "AVP" & for some reason I immediately thought of Alien vs. Predator. Sad. I suck

I am not wishing for a new HC.  I like MM.  I think MM has been good for GB.  I like TT as well.   And just because I suggest that the end of the MM era may be upon us, doesn't mean I am hoping it happens.  But we don't need everyone wearing rose-colored glasses either.

No one is wearing rose colored glasses imo.

Being pragmatic.

Nope, MM doesn't go. He's too good. But it's time to clean house of some assistants, and MM has to learn to let them go.

Keep on D: the DB guy (forget his name) because he's gotten the rooks ready to play; the DL guy. Dump the others; I'm on the fence this year about Compers; in the past I wanted him gone.

Keep on STs: Zook (wouldn't have thought that before TC!).

Keep on O: Bennett, Van Pelt. Everyone else can go. We need some new blood.

I don't expect, or wish MM to go, but if the o line completely breaks down again this week, and he keeps Arod in for a beating like last week?

You can't risk the franchise just to prove who is the boss.

Yeah....I'm not ready to move on from MM. He's a damn good football coach & we're LUCKY to have him.

This season, while starting out very promising, has turned disappointing.

I'm hopeful he can "get that fixed"

Agreed Boris.  As fans we all want our team to dominate 54-0 every week, go undefeated, and win the Super Bowl but that isn't possible.  What MM has done has given us a Super Bowl win, has been to the playoffs 7 straight years, won multiple division titles. and is 50 games over .500.

So for the fans who would like him hired who do you want to replace him?

I think this season tanked in the 2nd half of the year more due to personnel issues than coaching.  That said, the coaches do need to share some of the blame here.

Some things happened that need to be figured out for next year and beyond.  #1, what the heck happened to Randall Cobb?  He looked very very average all year after having been considered arguably the best slot WR in the NFL.  Was it just pure coaching that didn't allow him to succeed or did the injuries just take something out of him?

#2, what happened to what was supposedly a very good Offensive Line?  Was it just injuries that derailed them, did some other teams find some weaknesses in their games and figured out how to limit their effectiveness?  Even when all 5 starters were out there, this did not look like a dominant unit or even a very good one like they did in 2014.

#3, what happened to Eddie Lacy?  Was it injury related, was it attitude?  He was a Pro Bowl caliber player his first 2 seasons, this season, he often wasn't even good enough to start.

#4, what happened to Aaron Rodgers?  Was it just the awfulness around him that caused him to play the worst football we've seen him play since taking over the starting job in 2008?   The first 6 games he still looked pretty close to his old self, but from the Denver game on, he looked like he seriously regressed and no longer was able to elevate the guys around him like he had in the past. The coaches are going to have to figure out how to get him back on the right track, as for 10 weeks he's been in kind of a funk.

If somehow we can find 'any' offense, we can still go far.   The defense can keep us in any game.   Unfortunately, even AR seems to be missing passes and not making the best decisions on receivers.   The run game eventually suffers from this and it snowballs.

Washington is beatable even as pathetic as we've played.   Not sure who we'd play after that, but we are at least in.

Time is running out with Rodgers going to be 32 next year.  MM will get another year for sure, but it may be time to change if no results.   I also think the Pack needs to start look at QBs in the draft.  I'm not saying AR is done - by any means.   He is still top-5, but losing Jordy Nelson alone did not cause this mediocre performance the past 10 games.

...Marty Schottencarthy....

I have noticed the resemblance. He's obviously not going anywhere but he needs to bring in some fresh ideas for his offense that has apparently gone stale.

MM never, ever going anywhere (unless he himself he wants to leave) while TT remains GM of the Pack.

Not many coaches go out on their own terms, he may or may not.

I am not a make him walk the plank guy but what good coaching did he show us THIS year?

what is the single biggest reason that MM returns for an 11th season?

is it the Super Bowl run of 5 years ago?

isit the lack of replacement candidates?

is it Ted Thompson stubbornness?

maybe it's regular season record but even that has gone south the end of this year...

Because one mediocre season (in which they still have a winning record and made the playoffs) isn't a reason to fire anybody.

But, hey, if one wants the coaching and GM flavor of the day, they can always become a Browns fan.  The "newest and greatest" is hired every other year.

Well, I for one am tired of seeing the same-old, same-old. Every week we look the same, despite who is injured or who we play against. MM has to face it: this is not an "impose-our-will" team and hasn't been all year. I have been terrifically disappointed in his "we're not going to change what we do" approach when something different has been clearly called for. Take yesterday's game: our Oline is patchwork at best, yet he still wants the longer developing plays to work. Slants, screens, TE throws may have taken some pressure off the Oline, but nope that's not in the plan. I would love to be an opposing defensive coordinator looking at our offensive film: it would be a short work week.

While it's good to be steady, MM is stubborn to a fault.

Fair enough. Then put them in motion. Minnesota gets a big play out of nobody running something innovative (the sweep to Thielen). I'd like to see MM do something to make me sit up and say, Wow, haven't seen that before.

Exactly.  Mediocre seasons happen to teams it is part of football it just does.  I don't think TT is being stubborn at all he knows what it takes to win (he has proven that) and one of those things is to not change coaching staffs when you have a so-so year.

I know tons of Browns fans and trust me every single one of them would like to have our problems right now.

It's so easy to be MMQB.  If we were to get rid of MM, I think I would stop watching FB.  Not to say, improvement isn't possible.  But I don't want the Pack to be a turnstyle coaching, that's not good for any team.  Mike Tomlin and MM have been head coaches for the past 9-10 years.  Do you think Steeler fans are stoopid enough and talking about getting rid of Mike Tomlin?

Not looking to change coaches just yet, but there should be a sit-down-come-to-an-understanding meeting between MM and AR, with TT mediating. The relationship between MM and AR right now is broken. They don't hardly talk to each other on the sideline and neither has faith the other is going to carry out what they want. If there's something there that's not right, well, something has to happen because the whole team seems affected. It's not even an us-against-them (outsiders) attitude, it's more like us-against-each-other.

This team did not stumble. They face planted. They went 4-6 (including a Hail Mary win) and have not resembled a professional offense the final 11+ games- WITH THE 2 TIME MVP AT QB!

The epic failure of the Packer offense is so profound that any hint at status quo should result in immediate firing.

And Ted Thompson shares the blame. If we are to believe it is talent talent, that's his job. If one WR injury derails an entire season, your talent base is not very strong.

its a total organizational collapse. The players let the coaches down, the coaches let the players down, and the front office dropped the ball. After they get bounced from the payoffs, changes must be made.
