Some of you may want to skip this one Smiler

You know, I actually watched the game on NFL replay last week. It was so much fun. This game, more than the other two, showed how much better we were than the Bears were. The reason? Jermichael Finely played in that game. The Bears have no answer for him.

That game was vital, because it taught the Packers how devastating penalties could be. They became a lot smarter after this game.
That Washington game really was a stunner in so many ways.

They lost the #1 weapon on their offense in Finley, lost his backup Lee for awhile in that game, and most importantly lost Clay Matthews and no one knew how bad his injury might be. At that point I believe the body count was something like Grant, Finley, Barnett, Burnett, and Matthews all out and I think even Neal may have gotten hurt in this one too.

With all that happened, it was just devastating to see Crosby miss that potential game winning FG even though it was a long one. The Pack moved the ball that day, but had trouble in the red zone when Finley went out.

The Pack looked a long long ways from the team they would become later in the year. Though I will say that overall the defense did start to show signs of being a dominant unit that day other than the huge mistake by Peprah to let his man get by him on a long one.

It was our best offensive rushing game of the season, so at least we had that going for us.
Game 7 was probably the turning point of the season. Even though I'm sure Aaron Rodgers and Ted Thompson would never publicly admit they had a monkey on their back before that game, this game was huge for them and for turning the Pack back in the right direction after a slump. The joy of this win definitely propelled the Pack onto some great things and they may have gotten some confidence as a team from it.

Favre/Childress continued their slide into oblivion and took the Vikings with them. Pretty darn glad Harvin didn't come down in bounds as that would have been heartbreaking. But he didn't, the Pack won and you know the rest of the story.
