Some of that flow problem has to be owned by AR.  He missed more than a few passes.  Granted there were dropsies too (can't wait til december...).

I want one screen a week to Jones and Monty

McCarthy could have easily and justifiably stood up there and said our QB and WRs need to play better.  If 12 thinks 17 should be targeted 20 times, then he should do it.  He's got the ball in his hands.  40 attempts yesterday.  Haven't looked at the snap counts yet, but I'll bet 17 was in for 70 plays.

While I haven't seen the all 22's, my seats are in the North End Zone, so I have a sort of all 22 look.

Yes, receivers were open, 12 didn't see them or went somewhere else with it.

Every time that happens, I would get mad, then I remember I'm 15 rows up, about, 20 feet above the field and I don't have pissed off 300 pound angry men chasing me.....

It definitely was not a good game for Rodgers.  If he played at this level consistently, the Pack would be in a lot of trouble.  We'll just call it a bad day at the office for Rodgers and hopefully this was just an off game and he picks it up next week.  He definitely has not been the dominant QB in the NFL so far, but there's certainly time to get back to that level at some point if he can keep that knee healthy.

I only saw parts of the game but I think the announcers pointed that out too.  Receivers always open at the top of the play.

A Jones looks like the player Jonathan Franklin was supposed to be before he was knocked out of football.  What little Jones gives up to Franklin in short area elusiveness he makes up for with more power.

+  Brewers playing for NLC title...I listened to that game yesterday

+  Watched replay of Packers game so I could listen to Brewers game instead and not spend three hours in a bar up in Wyoming.

+ Fackrell...finally!

+ DBs were good...against a rookie QB...but still good

+ Rodgers seemed to be moving well in pocket and was smiling a lot during game

+ Jones and Williams make a good set of RBs

- I chose to listen to Brewers game

- I chose not to listen/watch the Packers since I was away from home

- Packers offense looked flimsy and lacked flow...dull performance and boring game

- Same old stale and offensive game plan

- Rodgers was not smiling after the game

- Jimmy Graham could be better; tips and drops and fumbles

- GMO drops

MM post game:  Love Aaron's toughness, ability to play hurt.  Desire to be out there is great for the team, great for the locker room.

AR post game:  I had a bad game and it's not my fault.

Brak, I had to think about your take. Rodgers was so ambiguous that both my take (MM sucks) and yours could be right. And that Aaron wanted to be be ambiguous at a presser. Afterward he drank a bottle of scotch and shouted to the wall what he really meant.

The offense is as Aaron says a work in progress.

Why does it always seem to be mid-season before our offense clicks?

I think part of it is that AR takes limited reps and plays a series or two, at best, in the entire preseason.  NFL offenses are all about timing, being in the right spot at the right time and being in sync with one another.  It’s tough to do that when the QB is standing on the sidelines or not participating in practice due to injuries.

There’s also an obvious rift going on between AR and MM on offensive philosophy.

It’s MM’s last year in GB anyhow so no big deal.

Admit it, if I had told you before the season that ...

1.  The Packers and Browns would have an identical record at this point in the season, and

2.  The Bears would be in first place, and only 1 team in the league would have a better record than them (possibly none after the MNF game tonight),

you would say NO WAY!

(Game wasn’t shown in our area.  I hope that doesn’t become the norm again.)

Possible, but typically our Beat writers would not come out as strongly as they did on this unless they had other similar info that they have not printed. These guys have a lot of info that they never print in order to preserve their relationships with sources. Back when it was easier to find emails, I would correspond with some of our beat writers. They know a lot of stuff that they never print.

How talented is Fackrell? Even his bad plays result in sacks. #FackSh*tUp
