I haven't heard a word about it, S T D. The best I recall, there was no mention of it for the annual meeting this past summer. Not that that means anything, necessarily, but if this is indeed happening, I would think there would have been some discussion about anticipated expenditures, financing, and related issues.
I also recall reading a thread a long time ago about future stock sales (after the last one) not being "allowed" or similar by the NFL. I don't know if that's correct; I don't know how they could prevent it, but who knows what's in play behind the scenes?

Apparently $200 a piece was out of a lot of peoples price range. It was for me.

I would have loved to buy some but didn't feel I could afford it. For, say, $50 a pop I would have scraped up enough to buy 2 or 3 (for me and my sons). Instead I bought none.

Now the price is $250? I hope the sale does well, but there's no way I can swing that right before the holidays. Does anybody think the economy is stronger now than during the last sale?

They would sell more and end up with more money if they lowered the price.

They won't want to make it too cheap, because (i) people might only buy 1 share @ $50 instead of 1 share @ $250, so they lose money; and (ii) every share they sell has a permanent cost going forward - they have to send out company accounts to all shareholders for ever more - and they don't want the "running costs" per share to be too high.

They're asking $250 because it's right on the heels of a SB win just like how this off season was the perfect time to raise ticket prices, when the team is doing well. Hard to raise prices when your 4-12.

Other than the mailing of the actual stock certificate all other communications could be done via e-mail. Even though I'm sure everyone who buys stock will be added to the Packers Pro Shop catalog mailing list (if they aren't already on it).

As was already mentioned, at $200 a pop they sold less than half of what they were allowed to sell last time. You think raising the price is going to help them sell more this time? We'll see.
Hi Everyone,
Has there been anymore news about the stock sale? I looked around, but I didn't see anything. I'm from Pennsylvania and don't get much Packer news here. I missed out on the last stock sale because I was in college and really didn't have the money. I have regretted that decision ever since. I'm not missing out this time.

I have a few questions. How was the stock available for purchase last time, is it like a ticket for a concert or game? Also, I know you don't really get anything owning a share, but do you at least receive a framed copy? Sorry for the questions, but I am really looking forward to this. Thanks!

I keep checking the Press Gazette website, Packers.com, and several others, but the most recent report I've yet seen was posted several days ago, the meat of which was this:

Murphy told the crowd, many wearing Packers ties, jerseys and sweatshirts, that his organization is constantly looking for ways to improve the fan experience, whether it's new sound and video systems in the stadium or a better tailgating environment. A public stock sale will begin late next month at $250 a share to raise money for a 7,000-seat expansion project. Packers Everywhere, a social media program listing 1,500 Packers-friendly bars around the country, has 85,000 people registered. Read more: http://host.madison.com/wsj/bu...0.html#ixzz1c0ozVrmH

Based on the way this was written and when it was posted, it sounds like they'll start sometime around Thanksgiving. As SOON as I see or hear anything new, I'll post. If anyone beats me to it, thank you! I REALLY want to get it this time!

For the 1997-98 stock sale there was a link at www.packers.com to request an Offering Document.

The Offering Document(still have mine) is 14 pages. It contains sections titled Offering Document Summary, Significant Information(this seems to be all the legal info), Terms of the Offering, Use of Proceeds, Description of Capital Stock, and Questions/Additional Information. The document also included an order form that had to be mailed, or faxed, to Firstar Trust Company.

I received a stock certificate. If my memory is correct, I purchased a frame from a company in Milwaukee.

Sale might be next week. See the article at the attached link.

I wonder if I'll be able to order a shareholder ring once I'm an owner. I really want one to rub in the faces of my Bear fan coworkers.

The inscription in the ring can be up to 20 characters/spaces. Wanna know what is EXACTLY 20 characters/spaces? "The Bears STILL suck"

Visa commercial...

Shareholder ring...$399
"The Bears STILL suck" inscription inside the ring...Priceless!

Believe it.

On the ring website you need to put in a password (password is "SBXLV") to gain access to the season ticket portion of the site. I got that password from another thread on this forum.

To order the shareholder ring from the website you need to have the control number from your proxy. The control number must be entered to gain access to the shareholder collection on the website. However, if you call Josten's they can look up your name to see if you are a shareholder. If you are a shareholder, you may order more than one ring. You may order more than once. The shareholder does not need to pay for the items. The items do not need to be shipped to the shareholder's address. So, to a certain degree, they'll take your money, once you've gained access with shareholder credentials.

All Josten's SBXLV collections will only be sold until 12/31/11. After that the contract expires and Josten's is no longer able to sell the stuff, even if they have some of it in inventory.

On the other hand, the fan collection is available for anyone to see and order.

What can I say, I've done my homework. :-)

I'll get my share and my ring. I'm sure of it. It's just a matter of how I go about it. :-D

Oh, and...wait for it...

The Bears STILL suck.

I couldn't resist.

I hope this information helps someone else.
