Re-watch the play. When did the ball cross the line? Answer: Never.

The "rule" (and I use the term loosely) needs to be changed.

Hope Tramons arm is ok.
Boris, you and I are in complete agreement.

Seriously, the rule is absurd. Any other play is over a.) when the ref blows the whistle, b.) when a player with possession goes out of bounds, c.) a player with possession has their knee touch the ground (and has been touched by the other team).

Why is this play different??

Bush clearly had possession. The ball was not moving around in his arms. It was clear possession. He was down. I watched the game again last night in bed, and watched that play. At that point, if the ref were on the ball, the whistle would have been blown. But because part of his leg crossed the goal line after possession was clearly established...it's a touchback?

Bull crap.
From Silverstein:

Cornerback Tramon Williams' shoulder injury could be troublesome. When I got to the locker room, he was sitting at his locker, still in his pants and not moving much at all. I asked him how he's doing and all he said was, "I'm good." We'll know more tomorrow, but it's obvious the guy was in pain. It's too early to assume the injury is serious. Shoulder injuries hurt a lot. If he's out an extended period of time, it will affect the defense, however

Collerbone??

Doubtful. Because a fractured collarbone would have surely landed Tramon in a sling which trainers didn't put him in and no doubt he was x-rayed right at Lambeau. When Woodson broke his, he was placed right into the sling and his injury was obvious and reported right away.

In the lockeroom, Williams didn't have any kind of sling or splint on.

He did get x-rays, etc and things looked good. A positive report this morning on Tramon, says McCarthy

huge relief...i put TW at #3 of people this team can not lose and still be SB bound.
Williamโ€™s wife said he is ok,I put a little more faith in that then MM's "he has a bruise" statement. Not that I want MM to give away to much.
I am happy the Packers did not have a bunch of injuries in that game. I am hoping that they stay relatively injury free for no other reason it gives them a chance to coach up their young guys. With no OTAโ€™s a lot of development will have to happen during the season.
My list, in order, of players we can't lose:
1) Aaron Rodgers - Cherish your time watching Rodgers play, he's as good as i've ever seen.
2) Charles Woodson - Does more for his defense than other defender in the league.
3) Clay Matthews - Without him, who rushes the passer?
4) BJ Raji - Sorry Diggr, it's true. Raji is that good. Pack gets run on in the nickel but not in their base. Saints couldn't move Raji last night, which is why they couldn't convert 3rd/4th and 1's (against pro bowl guards to).
5) Greg Jennings - He's Rodgers go-to guy. Him and Rodgers practically share the same brain on the field. Those back shoulder passes are a thing of beauty.
6) Tramon Williams - Best cover guy in the secondary. Allows Woodson to be Woodson.
7) Josh Sitton - Best G in the league.
8) Nick Collins - Very underrated by fans.
9) Hawk - Bishop is a better player but Hawk leads that defense. That part of his job is very underrated by fans.
10) Rest of OL - I think the line could handle 1 injury (not including Sitton). I don't think 1 is more valuable than another though. Losing Wells or Lang hurts as much as losing Clifton or Bulaga, IMO.

If these ten guys are healthy at the end of the year, this team will be tough to beat. IMO, they can handle injuries everywhere else (unless the sheer number becomes overwhelming).
My list:

1. Rodgers. No debate.

2. Clifton. If he gets hurt, Rodgers may not be far behind.

3. Matthews. He may not get the sack numbers this year, but the crazy attention he draws allows others to get pressure. Without him, the defense suffers big time.

4. Tramon. Sure, I may be a bit biased, but I think he's currently the top cover cornerback in the NFL. Losing him would severely limit Woodson's freelancing, and Jarrett Bush, while not as bad as the average Packer fan thinks, is not someone I want to see playing defensive back very often.

5. BJ Raji. Not bad for a bust to make #5 on this list, if I do say so myself.
