Wow. Just WOW. Rodgers. Is. The. Man. 95% of the players in the league would be threatening to holdout for a new contract, given how well he has played and how under-paid he currently is. His attitude is refreshing.
He knows he's going to get paid, even if it's not by the Packers.

I'd be completely shocked to find out Uncle Ted didn't extend him in 2012, especially after he wins Super Bowl #2 in a row
If you aren't listening live now, catch the podcast later. Topics discussed so far:

Hurtin' today after the game

His relationship with Flynn and Harrel compared to his relationship with Favre

Skip Clueless and other pundits takes on him now and when he was coming out

Johnny Jolly - misses his presence around the locker room

Joe Philbin - Tulane is interested in him as HC - he commands the room and would make a great HC - don't want to see him go
Love the comments how as soon as Matt and Brian were drafted, Rodgers thought it was important to develop a good relationship with them. More importantly, I love how he talks already about his legacy and "my responsibility as a Green Bay Packer" to pass on his knowledge. "It's been fun to watch those guys develop."

It's refreshing to hear how a superstar puts the organization first. Packer people!

That's true -- Favre used to really be an "aw shucks" kind of guy who became an inflated ego master. Since then, I've always been wary of how guys can change, but I sure hope Rodgers is the real deal all through his career and beyond. At least Rodgers has picked the very best to model himself after in Starr!

It looks like he failed spectacularly with Brohm. Razzer
Rodgers on Benson: "It's tough... Losing him every day at practice and obviously in the games...

AR: "Alex Green been waiting for opportunity.. James Starks is healthy... "

AR: "Our energy level against the Saints was low in pre-game... We ended up playing like gangbusters."

AR: "We've been inconsistent on third downs; we've been great in the red zone."

AR: "I haven't played as well as the expectations are... I've set the bar high. I expect to play at a higher level."

AR: "Made some checks that have been unproductive; missed some throws that I'm accustomed to hitting."

AR (on practice): For whatever reason, the rookies have not picked up on the importance of practice tempo.... scout team looks...."

AR: "Jordy (Nelson) is extremely selfless; he'll block for his teammates and won't complain if he catches 2 balls for 29 yards...
On the miss to Jordy. maybe miss that throw 5 times out of 100 ... opening drive can set the tone ... may be hard to understand, that throw came off too good ... it was a bad throw though he went in to more of the mechanics of throwing inside vs outside with sweat and such ... want to get perspiration going when inside because of the controlled environment

Jones two TDs
1st one was a check outside, rolled the pocket, Jordy did a nice job on the release to take his defender away... Lang had a good block... Jermichael with a nice block sealing the edge

2nd, talked about Green's run down to the 8 - made some guys miss... ran a play that never seems to work in practice (throwing to Jones - he's the 1st read) and we never hit him in practice... perfect look in pre-snap
The INT... looked Cobb was open on the otherside
the way the play played out forced me to the opposite-side... Randall went in motion, on my second look that way the defender pressed coverage, took him out initially... ball was tipped which moved it just enough to make it a front shoulder where it would have been a completed back shoulder
AR: "We handled the noise better in Indy.. Hopefully, we can handle it well (Sunday night in Houston)."

AR: Confetti on Lucas Oil Field "It wasn't a factor. it was just kind of weird.... Stupid. Can I say that?"
Q from a fan: Do you think helmet to helmet calls should be reviewable?

Wilde: On the Perry sack/fumble with the flag... you have an interesting perspective being a QB and NPs team-mate.

in real time it looked like a clean hit to me... I think the flag was thrown because of the way it "looked"... Perry is a 270 lb guy and Lucks head snapped back so dramatically it might have been perceived as helmet to helmet
AR on O-Line: "We've got to do a little better on our 1-on-1s and we've got to help those guys out a little better, too."

"We haven't been able to get to a lot of "Big 4" plays, with a TE and 4 WRs. Fine line between doing that and protecting well."

The TE has more space to maneuver inside (vs. Cover 2).. Probably didn't get (Finley) as involved as we'd have liked to."

More on Finley: "I think it's been about getting on the same page and spending time together... It's helped."

On the Webster INT: "Not in my wildest dreams would I have thought Corey was gonna jump it. Kicking myself for not looking outside."
@ESPNMilwaukee
RODGERS:
"Ankle is OK. It's all right. I have pretty strong ankles. Haven't taped my ankles in 9 years. I swear by it."

"No doubt I'll play Sunday."

"I'm so proud of our guys... the way we stuck together.... We just kind of banded together and believed in ourselves."

RODGERS on 'Fail Mary': Packers fans and sports fans in general know what the call should have been that night in Seattle."

RODGERS on punt return/pass: "Something guys were surprised by. We've had a couple fake plays been a bit risky and worked out. This wasn't 1 of them."

"I'm real proud of James (Jones). Approach is excellent. The preparation he puts in/way he practices.. credit to Edgar Bennett..."

(on prospect of Jennings / Finley being gone): "I'm going to trust Ted and what he's done to build this team."

1st installment for 2013

RODGERS...

(on Wallace): He's seen a lot of football.. he knows the game really well. I don't think transition will be difficult for him…  I told him - I want input. I want to know what you're seeing/thinking. I think it's going to be a good situation.

(on Scott Tolzien): "He went to the Berkeley of the Midwest (Wisconsin)."

(on Jolly): brings a lot of energy; brings that confidence to the defense; some nasty to him… He really is enjoying this opportunity. We're a better football team with the more Johnny Jolly's you have. You can't have enough guys who just really love the game. It's fun to see guys who really enjoy football. It's infectious.

(on leadership [former teammates comments] - He refused to address directly, but said):

"I'm going to continue to lead the way I've been leading. I think guys respond positively to that." "I'm very confident in the way I lead… It's not going to change. I enjoy what I'm doing. I love my job."

(on SF): "You look across the ball and it's talent all over the place. A lot of Pro Bowls…" "They are a dynamic offense... Colin maybe the only guy in the preseason who played LESS than I did." "I'd like to think we've won a lot of games mentally here Monday through Saturday, out-scheming teams."

(on limited snaps so far with Jordy and Cobb) : As usual, the ones are going to take all the reps vs. the look team. That will be enough to feel ready to play w/ Randall and Jordy.

(on the running game): It's going to be important to get those (RBs) going early in the game and get them opportunities.

"I like the personalities and the talent that (the rookies) bring… Micah Hyde is most impressive demeanor-wise."

RODGERS

(on new State Farm commercial) To get to work with the "SuperFans"was a blast. State Farm been a great partner to work with… Probably some more coming out...

(on Braun) " I haven't gotten one of those calls (from Ryan Braun)." Disappointed by this? "No." On future of restaurant involvement: "Stay tuned."

"Sunday, we had a chance to win in a tough environment... and we came up short." "The NFC West is developing a reputation of being some very tough, physical football teams…There is respect on both sides (GB-SF)."  "(San Francisco) is a team we'd love to see in the postseason."

(on Jordy Nelson) "He's an incredible receiver. Made 2 incredible catches in Week One." (on tiptoe catch): "I put the ball about 4 feet outside where I wanted it to be. Unbelievable catch. I didn't think he caught it."

"I know James (Jones) is going to be a big part of our offense. He's a guy who runs every route to win… He's unselfish."

(on Cobb catch/big hit) "It's great when you put a ball on a guy and he takes a shot, when you see him get up really quick. Makes you feel better."

(on INT tackle): "It's tough to not be competitive. I hate throwing INTs. Do anything to not give up a pick-6." "It wasn't pretty, but somehow my legs got tangled with his and he came down."

(on Wash.) "Very talented team. Team that is going to be coming in here hungry. We're both 0-1 right now."

"Can't have the inconsistency of the three-and-outs. That just kills your momentum and puts defense back on the field."

"Eagles ran a lot of plays and looked impressive."

(on Tombstone quote last week) "In college, I watched basically 2 movies on my 13- or 15-inch TV-VCR.. Tombstone and Rudy."
