The Germans have been doing it just a little bit longer.

Paging Fedya.
Hey there Guys!
I haven't been around much over the years. But here is my two cents:
I am glad to see this post and I hope the mods can and will enforce their rules entirely as they plan. I have been a member of X4 since its beginning or very close to it back when Scoop got it underway. X4 was a staple daily connection in my life during the 90's and after... until I grew tired of sifting through so much of the BS, as was outlined above by Tim and the others.
Admittedly and sadly over the last several years and longer, X4 became an old after-thought rather than the first place I checked to learn the latest about Wisconsin sports and other things. If I wanted to know about a rumor or a player or a team situation, I'd just go to X4 and somebody there will have posted the news. But times changed.
It used to be that as Packers fans, we could visit and post a comment/opinion without fear of extreme retribution or vitriolic retaliation. But those once respected principals of respect and camaraderie deteriorated. Be it the overdone foul language, the vicious or inane personal attacks, the hyper-offensive ridicule, obnoxious political rants or whatever else polluted this once truly great Wisconsin sports forum site... I drifted away and often forgot X4.
Some of you guys have the greatest humor! I have had so many laughs on this site. And I've read tons of very smart insightful ideas and keen observations. I missed that. And I miss the Miss Times Four contests too.
Before you brand me a pansy, I am a good guy. I've worked years in the oilfields and been in many locker rooms and sat in many board rooms. Cussing, swearing and harsh words don't make me blush... it's just I don't like reading it. In the oilfields, on the loading docks or drinking in the bars, those remarks were said to your face, not on some keyboard sent from God knows where. And I can take a good joke or two as well. Still, those needless online words dilute the point and diminish their author. But hey, if it's your gig, then you lost my attention.
This is just my opinion. You guys can flame me if you want... however, for all the hard work and prideful effort that so many people have put into this site and for those of us who have supported it then and now over the decades, I hope this place can be a home and harbor where sincere opinions, genuine comments and honest news about Wisconsin sports reign in honor and prestige. And most importantly, it can be fun to visit.
Sounds kinda noble, huh? Well, hopefully not too noble. haha! I just want to see this site be GREAT. Thanks for all the years! Good Luck to Everyone!
Go Packers! Go Brewers! Go Badgers! ... and then there's the Bucks too, I guess.
GBP1, that's quite a thoughtful post. I empathize with where you're coming from. To me, this lack of civility is common across all online sites. A reflection of our social media-crazed society. I don't like it either. But I still visit this site daily, appreciate the intelligent Packer banter and great humor you mentioned, post only when I feel I really have something to add of value, and simply ignore the bad behavior and lack of basic manners by some posters. I hope you'll warm up to doing same. Either way, thank you for what you said.
“And I miss the Miss Times Four contests too.” and that’s the Best thing that has disappeared from times four.
I think we can all agree Miss xThaiFour Lady Boys would offer something for everyone.
<sigh> Ladyboys and cobra whiskey, two more things 2020 has stolen from us.
They were tasteful and artistic. I am NOT giving you the password to my photo album this year Hank.
Fool me once

It's the John Wayne school of translation: if they don't understand English, speak louder and more slowly.
Hey, Fedya, I had been wondering about you.
Seemed to be fairly quiet for a couple of weeks or so, excepting your weekly MTT threads.
At least I know you're still kickin'.
I survived a round or two of RIF at work, with the result that we seem to be understaffed now and have had to pull overtime. Combine that with the lack of preseason games and not wanting to deal with the YOU'RE NOT PANICKING HARD ENOUGH attitude toward the coronavirus at a lot of places means I've had a decided lack of motivation to posting on a lot of the fora I used to post to a lot more, not just here.
So where are you at with the panicking?
He's watching Panic in Needle Park

Thanks for this. You shouldnt feel like you will he flamed or attacked for a very thoughtful expression of how you feel about this place. This place isn’t perfect for sure, but the more diverse opinions we have the better it becomes.
If we bring back Miss X4, then we’re also going to have a Mister X4 in conjunction.
I see you still haven't changed the "report reply" link yet.
I will not run if nominated and I will not serve if elected.
I think cracked helmet and Viking girl should make a comeback. Or how about lorenzos babe
Vote early and vote often....for Miss X4 that is.
Make X4 great again, again.
