...because it's football.

...because despite Comcast internet being out in half of the state of Florida, God-bless AT&T for waiving data fees on the internet hot spot I'm posting from.

...because who wouldn't want to miss what will probably be an epic, error filled 13-7 game?

Deshaun Watson starting should provide some theatre.  Sounds like Texans have a lot of injuries and Cushing suspended again. His USC teammate Clay must be clean with his recent play.   How many commercials is he on now?

Due to injury, the Texans have 3 WR and 1 TE dressed tonight... and the TE was just brought up from the PS because the three active roster guys have concussions.

Were they practicing a 'Three Stooges' skit?

Can you imagine being a Bunghole fan ? I mean what memory do you hang your hat on ? "Yeah but remember when Joe Montana came from behind to beat us in the Super Bowl " . **** that's depressing.

I live smack dab in the middle of Bengals country and let me tell you they are a sad bunch of fans.  They have so little to hang on to for memories I almost feel bad for them.  Two Super Bowl appearances in the 80's and ummm that's really about it.

I think they could fix Thursday Night Football fairly easily.

1. go back to two bye weeks like they had in the early 90s.

2. Each Thursday Night game will be played by teams coming off a bye.

Every team gets a full bye and a mini-bye/extra-long week for rest and recuperation, and another week of TV revenue.

Dalton is worse than I recall and I remember him being pretty darn bad. Yuck.

They went from a top-notch O-line a couple of years ago to one of the worst.

They also went from having a good OC (Hue Jackson) and a good OC (Jay Gruden) back to back. I think Zampese is probably a good QB coach and is likely the reason Dalton was on-point for a couple years, but that offense has been hemorrhaging talent...Sanu, Marvin Jones, Gresham, Zeitler, Whitworth. That 2013 team had all the previously mentioned talented players plus Mike Zimmer as DC, Jay Gruden as OC, Hue Jackson as RB coach, Ken Zampese with QBs, etc. That was a stocked team, getting stomped by a mediocre San Diego team in the WC round of the playoffs is a massive underachievement.

Easiest way to fix Thursday night football isn't adding another bye week. The easiest way is ending Thursday night football.

Yep couldn't agree more TNF is just overall a bad product. And maybe it is just me or we seem to get a lot of 49ers vs. Rams games or Jags/Titans.

I also think the reason the NFL ratings are dropping is that the NFL is giving us too much football.  It is business 101 if you have a product that people really want you don't give them more you give them just enough to make them want to watch it.
