Yeah, there's no reason to dislike or root against him, but he's just not a very good QB. They're always dangerous because of their speed on designed rushes, and especially scrambles
Guys like him, Watson, and Jackson (and other so-called "running QBs" before them) will have some successes, and occasionally will have enough of them to make a playoff run. People (fans and media) get excited, and mass ball-washing ensues.

But, things change, and there comes a time when they have to make fast decisions, and accurate, pinpoint throws, and that's where trouble begins.
The same basic thing is happening in New Orleans with HIll. Cleveland/Mayfield is on the cusp of the same. And I think Buffalo/Allen will have to guard against it.

Allen is way more than a running QB.  Jackson is OK as a thrower when defenses crowd the line to play the run.
