What part of Germany are you in? I'm dying to get back there for another Oktoberfest.

I live in a small town near Frankfurt. We have our own little Oktoberfests but nothing compared to the original one in Munich. Wink

When have you been there ?

Normally i prefer german beer over US beer but sometimes i like me some Millers. Smiler

Can we incorporate food in on this too? Preparing a theme based meal revolving around GB's opponent can be an all day event. San Fran will be a challenge but I'm pushing for crab in a bag.

I was in Munich for 2 days only in 09 and spent one in the LowenBrau tent. Great food and brew and the German people were awesome.

I like this idea.. Pot brownies this Sunday.
I'll be at Corbetts Fishouse in Portland Or which is owned by folks who are from Green Bay. Of course it is a Packer Bar and I am looking forward to it. I'll be having a Rogue Dead Guy Ale and what ever other local brews they have on tap.
and since we are talking about beer...

New Glarus stopping production of the coffee stout is one of the more disappointing pieces of beer news you can hear. That was, hands down, my last beer before I die beer (I plan to die via the electric chair).

It ain't cheap, but if it's gonna be your last beer anyway, it may be an adequate substitute.
Henry - Its a breakfast beer, how perfect is that ?

Early Packer games start at 10:00 am on the west coast, always looking for something to pair with a bloody mary

In the early 60's I had an uncle that bowed professionally and Carling Black Label was his sponsor. He had a house full of beer, glasses, trays, signs, you name it.
Been on a Bell's Oberon Ale kick lately. That might be on the menu.

Hard to go wrong with Summit Pale Ale. Had some Point Black Ale last weekend too. Not bad.

Billy's? WTF!

Central Waters Brewery near Stevens Point makes a pretty solid Coffeehouse Stout. The aroma and taste are unbelievable.
