'Cuz ya know, manhood is defined by the benchpress and choice of beer. It's just the way it works.

I guess you just enjoy amber colored water, then.

At least High Life light tastes like beer. I don't think the extra 46 calories would kill your diet.

I'm sorry to have to be the one to tell you, but you must leave Portland by end of week.

No one in Portland with access to the beer we have access to, should ever drink that swill. Ever.

Someone will be escorting you to the border. I'm sure Estacada, Gresham, or Hermiston would love to have you.
its been a long, long time since I've had a Special X. Can't say I miss it.

As a personal rule, I don't drink anything with the word "old" or "Milwaukee" in it.

Busch light gives me a hangover while I'm drinking it. I won't even cook with it.

Naty Ice has to be at the top of any list of horrible things I have put in my body.

Potosi has, on tap, an oatmeal stout aged in Templeton Rye barrels. I am trying to convince my wife that beer alone is worth the trip. She drinks Coors light.
Was just in Dubuque the other week and was sampling Potosi beers. Good stuff. On the label it says all profits are donated to charity - quite the brewery. Smiler

from their website:
quote:
In January of 2001 the Potosi Brewery building was donated to the Potosi Foundation, and the brewery property was officially transferred. Following a $7.5 million restoration, the Potosi Foundation, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization and sole owner of the Potosi Brewing Company, reopened the brewery in 2008.

Mission Statement
The Potosi Foundation's mission is to channel all profits into its markets served to support historical and educational initiatives, and charitable causes.

as for Special Export, I'm told that the employees that bought the Heileman brewery after they sold out to Miller and formed City Brew use the Special Export recipe for their La Crosse Lager...

That was my Dad's beer. Still have a couple of Special Export stemmed beer glasses around.

When he'd watch the Packers, he'd be eating herring or sardines on soda crackers, along with this horrible stuff that was recently brought back from Hell:

Liederkranz

The distinct aroma is nightmare inducing.
