Bad Mr. Clock.

I'll drive you ... and he better be ready for double-dose(And Bruce Lee style)
Say what you want but McCarthy absolutely butchered the clock that last 2 minutes.
Tackle Avant with 1:45 left and 2 timeouts. What's he do? Let the clock run down before they kick the field goal. That's fine if he just wants to kneel onthe ball and go into halftime. But they obviously tried to score.
Yes Jones dropped the TD but that doesn't mean you have to give up after the screen to Jackson.

Oh, well, we get the ball to start the half. Should have been a 21-3 game at half, though.
Or possibly 17-3 if McCarthy doesn't lose his composure.
Unless Jones has an incredible game or makes one of the most incredible plays I've ever seen before the season is over, he has no business in a Packers uniform next year.
I think most people could have handled the clock better if they'd dropped it on the floor. WTH was That?
it would have been a kick into the wind, but still, take the TO at 3 sec and give it a try
I have no problem with the time management there. They got into position to throw one downfield. JJ's drop kills all momentum and no reason to force an issue on 3rd and medium and potentially have to punt.
Hate even saying this, but this game reminds me of another game. Let's hope it has a happier ending.
No plausble explanation with one time out remaining.
They were playing into th wind. They also get the ball at the start of the next half. Something bad was more likely to happen then a postive.
And the eagles would of really put the heat on Rogers.

Typical McDumbass.. has no clue in how to handle a two minute offense

what JJ dropping another pass?
I'm not worried about that parallel yet, but I will be if the Eagles quickly take the momentum back in the second half.quote:Originally posted by heyward:

Agree. That's the second long TD he's dropped in the last few weeks.

Arod, one time out, momentum.

I dunno about that. To have a realistic shot at a field goal, you need to be at least the 25 yard line of the Eagles. Akers missed from that direction with that wind swirling, and he missed every kick but one that direction in pre game per JSO. If Akers can't handle the wind that direction, doubt Crosby could.
Otherwise it was a good first half. The defense bent a little on that last drive but only gave up the field goal. Green Bay was only stopped thanks to 2 bad dropped passes. If they can come out and score points this first drive Philly will be in a world of hurt...even if it's just a field goal.
IMO, MM should've called a TO before the field goal. Would've saved about 30 seconds. Of course, if Jones simply does his job, it wouldn't have mattered.
never really cared for jones anyway, good-bye.

another horribly called series at the end of the half
Yes, the pass play to Jones was a HORRIBLE call, they're up 14-3, running the ball well and looking dominant and people are still ripping on MM. Get a life.
It was 3rd and 4 .....I am fine with it. I was upset we were going after it as hard as we were. Our ball at the 20 should have been run, run, run locker room.
He took his shot with Jones...Hands of Sones and you saw the result.
Our ball to start the 2nd half. Nice sustained drive and some points would be nice.
We are up 14-3 on the road. Relax ladies.

They cannot afford dumb mistakes in the 2nd half like getting blocked into a punt, and dropping passes that hit you in the hands while in stride. And no more fumbles please. As said before.... keep the foot on the pedal
I just don't know how Jones could miss that. He must mentally sort of freeze or something.
My main thought due to that miss is IF the Pack loses, it is REALLY going to hurt like hell.

A bad play and it is 14-10. Game is going the Packers way. Other then Jones drop the Packers have been getting thier yards in short bits. The Eagles are playing the deep stuff.
I bet MM will continue to run at eagles defence.
The milk has been spilled. Keep whining and crying about it like a bunch of nancys or move on and beat down the iggles.
Has the X4 whipping boy torch officially been passed from Bush to Jones? LOL

Exactly. People act like we're down 14-3.
Come on Jones.....

A good play and its 21-3 or 17-3... didnt you say game is going Packers way?.. why back off now?
All I want is a mistake free 2nd half. Mistake free and they probably win. If the Pack gets beat because Philly outplays them, I can live with that. But I hate watching them lose because they shoot themselves in the foot.
Cmon, let's go men. Let's finish this and get out of here.
Jones has good hands, as evidenced by the touchdown catch.
He's just got bad focus. If you can't get focused for a playoff game, that's a pretty big defect.

That's BS and you know it. We get the ball to start the 2nd half. Don't let the Beagles back in with a fluke play at the end of the 1st.
Let's not let DD's drop cause a 3 and out.
Got to save the remaining timeouts.

It's chickensh*t and if 14-3 is good enough for some of you at this point, i LOL @ you
