Return the favor, Bucky!
Of course the play stands itβs the pac12 refs for gods sake
Home cooked

Sure did
Hard to overturn because you called a fumble on a questionable fumble
Aiding the runner???

Yup
Need a TO
If youβre not a pussy and you play defense for Wisconsin, you stop them here.
Pussies.
Ball game.
So disappointed. Fickel should apologize for getting my hopes up. Athletic quarterback made them look like fools. Do they not know whatβs coming?
D gashed on that drive.

2 safeties not allowed by refs. Phantom personal foul on punt return. Now down by 9. Should have kicked extra point
Are you Cousins?
What a stupid pass on 4th down
Odell Beckham would've caught that.
ESPN dickheads slobbering over Washington State.

Fuck the refs.
Coach Fickell failed to have his team prepared to win a tough road game.
He sucks until I see otherwise.
So much for that.
Tv sound off
No CFB playoffs?
No Chia Pet Bowl, even. Fuckell sucks.
Where is Jim Leonard when we need him. Just damn embarrassing. Just damn embarrassing.

Thatβs how long I had in the pocket
I thought they showed poise coming back. Iβm not as bent out of shape with Tanner as others, he was fine and his misses were a full Mertz closer than we are used to.
I donβt know what a safety is
Or a convenient personal foul penalty after Washington State punted from endzone
Itβs like a safe word. But worth two points.
Apparently no worth two points
I love Rube Chat after losses
For my own sanity had to step away after the 1st half and you can thank me later for not setting the x4 record for number of fuck statements in a thread but what a horrible loss for this team.
Yes, they came back and the refs were awful, but your starting QB cannot be turning the ball over multiple times in ball games. I think Mordecai made some nice throws and scrambles to escape pressure but the fumble TD basically sealed the game for Washington State.
90 yards rushing for the game including Allen going 7 rushes for 20 yards is unacceptable. Itβs great he caught 6 passes but for 12 total yards? Iβm pretty sure he gets more than 12 yards if they are (6 more) run plays.
Then thereβs the issue of the defense. Little to no pass rush, poor tackling (again), and really questionable scheming in the first half. I also donβt think their cover guys on the back end are very good.
Iβve said this before but basically Washington State is the Purdue of that conference. Usually solid to sometimes decent but for a program like Wisconsin to lose to them two years in a row is an embarrassment.
We know this is a marathon and not a sprint and I do like where the program is headed but man if they continue to play like this the rest of the way this year itβs a 7 or 8 win team at best. The biggest change needs to be they canβt wait until the second half of games to show up and play with energy and focus. Thatβs 110% on Fickell and the coaches.
I think the bad calls in Melussiβs fumble and the safety change the tide, but that is whiner talk. Better defense in the first half makes this a win.
still not sure why people are so kissed at the qb. Maybe Iβll figure it out as the season goes on.
Allen didnβt seem to have any spark in his step
Our STs were the best part of this team in this game. Bucky never led, either. Playing catch up all game long and lousy defense, in the first half, did not help matters any. What's up with Braelon? Receivers not catching passes that hit them in the hands, or on the numbers, is not good, either.
As I generally get over Packer/Brewer /Badger losses practically immediately, Iβm still disappointed this morning about how shockingly unprepared the team was for this game. Blown coverages, substitution penalties and completely predictable schemes are an indictment of the coaching staff. Rant over.
Onward!
They were two different teams each half. Agree they looked wildly unprepared the first half
The part thatβs shocking to me after watching through the highlights (or lowlights) was just how bad Jack Nelson was at left tackle. Coming into this season, some were talking about him as a day 1 pick in the draft next year. Unlike the defensive backs (other than Wohler), this OL is loaded with talented 4 star guys. They have to play better as they have the ability.
Given those OL issues, I do feel a little better about Mordecai and Allen. The fumble TD was 100% on Jack Nelson and the OL didnβt hold down the point of attack well at all.
The good news is the Big Ten West doesnβt look that great and Cam Ward might be one of the best QBs they play. They just need to be more like the 3Q and less like the first half. That and find a way to move up the calendar a year for some of their DB recruits to get on the field.
This team has a lot of new players and all new coaches. It just takes time for everyone to get used to each other. They will adjust and improve as the season goes along. I hope.
Holy hell Mel Tucker
Tucker is certainly in some hot water for whatβs being alleged at MSU. Given everything that occurred with Larry Nasser this isnβt a good look for the football program or the university.
