“Heard some talk out of the Bears: Packers secondary not working coverage, bigger receivers … we heard about it,” Woodson told Rachel Nichols of ESPN. “We understand that Jay is excited about his new weapons, but it’s the same-old Jay. We don’t need luck; Jay will throw us the ball.”

Rachel Nichols - "Do you feel he's that way? Do you feel he's consistent in throwing those EYE-ENN-TEEEE'sss!

Charles - "The proof is in the pudding. You saw how the game went tonight. He'll throw you the ball. He'll throw the ball to the defense"

Watching the clip it looks like Charles is trying really hard not to laugh because he's cracking himself up.
What's really sad is Cutler's still probably a top-10 QB in the league. Rodgers, Brady, Brees, Eli, Peyton, Roethlisberger, and...... He's probably in the tier with Romo, Ryan and that group and even behind those two he's still at #9.

Sure, but that's not the purpose here. That's just a good Poutin' Jay montage.

While he's wearing orange sneaks and walking his cat. The cat really makes the whole thing IMHO.

Bears fear a potential Cutler mutiny
Posted by Mike Florio on September 14, 2012, 12:41 PM EDT
As if the Bears don’t suddenly have enough problems, they now have to fret about when and if the players will rise up against their petulant, James Dean-wannabe quarterback, Jay Cutler.

Last night’s sideline incident with left tackle J’Marcus Webb, which featured Cutler swearing at and bumping the much bigger Webb, has created concerns within the organization that the players could eventually turn on Cutler, for good. That’s what a source with direct knowledge of the situation tells PFT.

It’s not the first time a quarterback has had relationship issues in the locker room. We’ve heard for years that Ben Roethlisberger had been (and still may be) persona non grata in Pittsburgh. But the Bears are getting closer to the breaking point with Cutler, and the worry in the organization is that if it keeps up, something could go down.

Meh. Since that's from POS Florio, I'll assume it's completely made up until I see something from a legitimate source.

Now excuse me, AR and I are gonna go look for some sick old ladies so we can punch them in their cancer.
The important thing is that they got rid of Mike Martz and his terrible offensive strategy of too many 7 step drops...

You saw a how well the Mike Tice offense worked last night Big Grin
With a nickname like Meathead, who doesn't have visions of an offensive genius?

Tice will help their run game, and with Bush now the main guy for the foreseeable future, they will look to win games 16-13.

It was a crane kick.

Let's not whitewash AR's transgression here.

Shouldn't Russell Wilson be on that list? Confused
My favorite play last night was the one where CWood "dived at Cutler's legs" and Chippy Jay didn't like it. Woodson got up and looked like he was going to jack his jaws for him, but noticed the ref coming up behind them.
So he didn't retaliate, but he put his finger in Cutler's face and told him something. I doubt it was an exchange of pleasantries.
I couldn't have hand picked a better QB for the Bears--and the fact that they gave up 2 1st rounders for him makes me weep with joy every time he throws an interception, berates a teammate or cries about a call.
He's simply the sh**.....even more glorious than Jeff George
Cutler has no regrets
quote:
“I probably shouldn’t have bumped him, I’ll go with that. As far as me yelling at him and trying to get him going in the game, I don’t regret that,” Cutler said on ESPN 1000 in Chicago. “I’ve talked about it with the offensive line, each of them individually, and it is what it is. I think it’s been blown up probably a bit bigger than all of us expected. At the same time, that’s what you have to expect out of the media.”

Then Cutler took a turn onto delusional street.
quote:
“I think I had my composure. I think I had my composure all game. Under the circumstances, we moved the ball well all game,”

Jay Cutler is awsome!
Jay Cutler Leaves Us Questioning Reality

Post from the NFC North blog on ESPN, Seifert delivers a reality check to those who thought Cutler was ever going to be any different.

quote:
...After pausing for a moment, Cutler chose a pass that receiver Brandon Marshall dropped in the end zone early in the third quarter as the Bears trailed 13-0.

"I wish I had that one back," Cutler said. "The picks? You can have those. The one I would take back was the one to Brandon off his hands.

The picks? You can have those.

quote:
Here you have a quarterback who turned in one of the worst performances in the past 10 years of NFL play, according to the Elias Sports Bureau, glossing over his four interceptions as if they were merely a function of the game flow. Instead, Cutler suggested his biggest regret was not fine-tuning a still-catchable touchdown pass that would have left the Bears facing a second-half deficit.

(...)

And, perhaps most amazing of all, Cutler can insist with an apparently straight face that he did not lose his composure at any point during what sure appeared to be a wild, but not atypical performance. That assessment apparently covered his sideline confrontation with left tackle J'Marcus Webb.

quote:
If what we saw Thursday night was composed, I would hate to see Cutler when he is upset.

(...)

But it's hard for me to conclude that Cutler was under control after watching the way he frenetically bounced around the pocket, how he repeatedly threw into coverage and how he unloaded on Webb so quickly in a long season. It seemed he was playing "screw-it" football, so frustrated with how things were going that he compounded the situation with poor throws and technique.

In truth, the alternative is worse. If Cutler was composed and under control, as he said he was, and still threw four interceptions and took seven sacks -- the first time a quarterback had done so in 10 years of NFL games -- isn't that a worse indictment of his performance?

Regardless, if we didn't know before, we know now: Packers defensive back Charles Woodson was right to note that he saw the "same old Jay" on Thursday night. Based on what I heard Tuesday, the Jay Cutler we have always seen is the one we will always see -- for both the good and the bad.
"The one I would take back is the one to Brandon off his hands"

Translation. I would take back the one to Brandon. Maybe he catches it the second time.

Even when he tries to man up he makes it a point to throw someone under the greyhound.

You're joking, right? I'd love to see Lovie get canned. He pretty consistently fields a winning team with that cavalcade of crap the front office provides him and has a defense that seems like has been figured out against every team but his. As much as I hate the Bears, I admit Lovie's a darned good coach.
No I'm not kidding. He gets lucky once in awhile but he continues to never improve the o-line, he will continue to send out guys from the retirement home on defense and he hires old retreads like meathead to be his offensive coordinator.
