During the regular season there's no time for teaching a new QB the system. It's all about scout team and getting ready for the next opponent. That's basically where we're at right now.

Harrell is the guy this year. He's being evaluated for whether he'll return in 2013. No one who comes in here is going to know the offense the way he does, especially VY. He had opportunity last year when Vick went down. He did nothing with it despite quality coaches and a lot of talent around him. If it's two games without Rodgers VY is just as much, if not more, of a crap shoot than Harrell I'd rather give Coleman a shot over bringing in VY.

I'd also say that if you think you have a lot of young talent (and a ridiculously underpaid MVP) that should be paid you need to get the money from somewhere. Some teams do it with low level or young kickers. Both of ours are top notch so it's not coming from there. If it's me I'd put the best 22 starters I can on the field and deal with the injuries if they come.

The downside is if Rodgers is hurt for an extended period of time they may be toast. The same scenario could play out with any number of positions on the team. The upside is if that happens there's a higher pick waiting in every round of the draft next year and the personnel staff is top notch.

I don't think it's an egregious gamble to have Harrell as the backup. It's a calculated risk. There's only 53 spots and a budget. They have to take risk somewhere.

Awww c'mon. It wasn't that bad. More like a wrist-slapping However LAST year was a different story. 1 year from being completely out of the league may just MAY have taught the talented Young a lesson.

We'll see.....time will tell.

and yes, I'm looking forward to catching one down the seam from you. I know it will get there faster than when Harrell threw it.

Hang in there. Glad to see you still around
