what a punch in the stomach. last thing I expected. Did the Philbin tragedy have an impact? Did the bye? ARe the Giants that good? hard to tell.
Im simply stunned.

My neighbors, friend and coworkers are gonna be insufferable. I guess I gotta take it like a man. Wont ever forget the 9-7 Giants comign in here and beating our 15-1 butts up and down the field. coulda/shoulda been back in the SB.....och

I agree with your plus.

Minus

MM, play calling WTF?
Every fumbler, losing football right there
Drops, I think they had 8 drops.
Pass defense, really bad, has been bad all year and I kind of expected this if the offense sputtered.

All of the season ticket holders that sold their seats to giant fans.
1) 3 fumbles. That is why they lost the game. Can't turn the ball over when....
2) defense can't get off the field on third down. But we knew that.
2a) then the receivers drop catchable balls. Blame gets totally spread around on this one.
2a) your QB is simply off. Rodgers simply has to make better passes to Jennings and Driver when they are that wide open. Also, he can't take a sack on fourth down. An int is like a punt, at least give your guys something to drop in that situation.
3) the hail mary. C'mon.
Minus

Dropped passes (6) and fumbles lost at least (3)
Defense stinks...again
No desire to win
Jennings drops and fumbles
Nelson cant get open and make the catch
Crabtree DROP
Clifton done
Peprah gone
Woodson quit gawking and talking and tackle
Shields slip sliding away
Cobb hold on to the ball
Playcalling never got anything going
Finley drops again...big mouth no hands when it counts
Hail Mary catch was truly a defensive blunder

Plus

Rodgers...need about 20 more clones
Jones block FG
Run D...until the end
Next season
Paws

+ Morgan Burnett..
+ Pickett

Negs

- Peprah.. Didnt wrap on 1rst TD.. Let Bradshaw get OB on that 2nd half run, then the hail mary.. He has to go...

- 8 dropped passes.
- 4 lost fumbles,,, at least should have been.
- 3 man rush.

I also find it humorous that the last pass Finley will see from Rodgers, he ends up on the ground throwing a tantrum and screaming at #12 after he didnt run his route all the way through... See ya later you PIECE OF SH&T.

He has been consistently subpar this season. The only reason he wasn't as big a liability last season was that Collins bailed him out. This year his partner was an assignment blowing safety in Burnett, and the back end really suffered.

* Probably the last we'll see of DD. If so, he and Rodgers were the only two bright spots. DD can hold his head up all the way to the Packer HOF.
* Probably the last we'll see of Cliffy. It was telling that they went with Newhouse so much of the day. Cliffy was getting whipped; Newhouse wasn't outstanding but he held up better.
* We lost and it wasn't pretty. Emotionally we looked flat, and for the first time in two years so many guys fumbled. The receivers had butter on their fingers for the second time this year and it cost us our second game.
* Kuhn going down with what looked like something serious; Jennings injured again.

+
* Now I can emotionally unplug for the year.
* Looking forward to next year and seeing what TT does to make us better, and how Rodgers takes this moving forward.

And in reality our Defense needed to improve a lot and it didn't. And we didn't play like we have all season, except one game. Very uncharacteristic miscues, bad passes by Aaron, fumbles, drops etc on offense. 3 fumbles and 1 that should have been a fumble.

So it's terribly disappointing especially after the year Aaron had, but I had a bad feeling when I heard about the Philbin kid.

Anyhow, we still have a great team and nucleus. Great management and coaches and with some solid upgrades on the D, we should be right in the thick of things for the next few or more years.

This.

The team was rocked by this. MM tried to make a few calls to get things rolling the other way. I will admit, I didn't agree with the calls, but again, I can't blame him for making them.

CTFB. Make a play. We had our chances.

On the negative side...can Driver contribute for one more season?

The question really is, Do we have someone better than DD waiting in the wings? I felt like DD disengaged this year and is pretty sure it's the end. The shot of him on the sideline after scoring was telling. DD hasn't been getting a lot of separation this year; on the TD today Rodgers had to razor-edge it in there, although DD did make a great catch. Word is Gurley is supposed to be pretty good, so I think they'll let DD go.
