Sucks to think that winning this game will only get the Packers back to .500 in home playoff games since the 2002. If they lose this game, they either need to blow up the team to de-sissify it, or just build a damn dome over Lambeau. No excuses in this one, win the damn game!
DuJuan Harris is starting at RB for the Pack tonight
So let me get this straight....
the Packers are supposed to be worried about a quarterback who played a nice game 3 years ago, and hasn't thrown a pass all year all while operating in an offense that the Vikings have absolutely no experience executing?
because he stood still and jumped 11 feet and jumped over 5 tackling dummies stacked on each other at the combine?

What about a really really big carport type structure?

I just had a vision of him breaking a 73 yarder.
@RotoPat: "A QB taking his first reps of the season in a road playoff game where the temperature is going to be in the teens should help Peterson" #No
@RotoPat: The "element of surprise" GB is dealing with? "Holy **** they're somehow starting a guy who gives them even less of a chance than Ponder."
@jasonjwilde: Remember last week, the #Packers spied Ponder on multiple occasions with Matthews. So it's not like they weren't readying for mobile QB.
@MikeVandermause: Joe Webb has 3 career starts. His career stats: 88 of 152 passes (57.9%) for 853 yards, 3 TDs and 5 interceptions.

As long as he keeps averaging the 5+ he has been per touch, we'll be just fine.

Why does Webb starting this game scare me so much?
Because you're scared of large black men?
He had an unfortunate incident at the Dexter Lake Club.
Packers will be fine. Can't imagine the Queens game plan will be much different with Webb under center.
I would rather Facebook on your. At least you know what you're. getting
The only scary thing about Webb, of course, is if he break containment and scrambles for yardage. We might as well be playing a 2-RB backfield.
Agreed. Webb can scramble. But you won't win a playoff game like that. I'd be more worried if Wood wasn't out there.
I agree Timmy. But, its not like Ponder couldn't scramble either. No matter what this guy hasn't had the snaps and real game time. I just don't believe that this guy isn't going to be freaking out with a start @ Lambeau in the playoffs.
Maybe I'm missing something, but assuming GB is going to be committing more men closer to the box to stop the run...won't that hamper Webb's ability to scramble as well?
Challenge this guy to beat us through the air. They won't stand a chance.

Wasn't Joe Webb on Dragnet?
I think that was Jack Webb, Packy.

Isn't that how Vick beat us in the playoffs?
As banged up as this team is they still aren't remotely close to the suck that was Sherman's defense.
. That's right. Jack Webb and Joe Fridayquote:Originally posted by bubbleboy789:

In 2011 season Webb toasted Washington for 2 passing TDs on 5 passes, and ran for another. He wasn't as impressive passing in other games.
So I agree that we could be facing a two-headed running attack.

Stack the box...then AP breaks through the first line, then what?
Favre's interceptions and a blocked punt the Falcons returned for a TD helped them a lot, too. Watching Vick run all over the field was an ugly sight, but the worst aspect about the Packers that game was the offense. They only scored a single garbage time touchdown.quote:Originally posted by Talkin2Phil:quote:Originally posted by bubbleboy789:

I watched that abortion of a game in person. I still hold myself responsible. Never been to a playoff game since.

Favre completed 20 of 42 passes with 2 INT's. Vick had 64 yards rushing. A lot of things lost us that game, not just Michael Vick.
No matter what, the key to this game is not coming out flat and spotting the team a 2 score lead. I refuse to believe that we saw the real Packers last week and hope they bring their A game.
This game is gonna be a laugher. Packers win by 17 or more. That may be the Colt 45 talking, I can't say for sure.

It needs to be. If there is an ounce of pride in this team right now, this one can never be in doubt. If it's close in the 4th quarter again, the Packers will probably lose.quote:Originally posted by Fond Du Arrigo:

Been to three playoff losses at Lambeau. Figured I was jinxed. My brother in law is sitting in my seats.
I'm not crazy about the Webb match up, but have to say if he helps win this game it'd be one hell of an accomplishment. Eff the Vikings. I'm solo boys tonight at the bar. Lets get this done!
Great pic bb!!
And also an excellent point.

I wonder what the record is for number of pages for a gameday thread... before the game starts.
don't know
let's do a bunch of meaningless posts
to up the page count
i'd expect to see quite a bit of the speed option and probably some zone reads.
i do not expect the packers to particularly struggle against it.
the only thing I don't like so far is seeing Davon House inactive.

Kind of redundant, isn't that? Or ironic?
No, redundant.
Edit: Hey my 2000th post!!

They're actually 2-4 since 2002 season. 2 losses to Giants, loss to Falcons, Vikings and the 2 wins over Seattle.
