Hard to imagine a worse start. Two ugly three and outs + a bad defensive series and two more lost starters.
Defense needs to hold here or this game could get ugly quickly

one injury (shields) is because he was rolled up on, the other (Neal) he got chopped on the knee. Nothing to do with conditioning
I am not faulting this depleted defense.
But, the offense?
If St Marys School for the blind had a football team this defense wouldn't be able to stop them

If a team wants to stop injuries, they should start their worst players. They'll never get injured, and the starters will remain healthy.
