I am loving how the defense is clearly not going to be pushed around this year. They are punching that vaunted SF offensive line in the mouth and swarming to the ball. And although Matthews late hit wasn't smart, it sends the message that playing the Pack is going to be a dogfight. Sure do miss having Burnett though, MD Jennings needs to light someone up.
Whoa. Only 10 yards rushing for SF? That's awesome! Unfortunately, we match it with only 10.
I think the Dline is inspired with Jolly playing. He is just a tough SOB and brings it.
Just imagine how much better this defense will look once Hayward and Burnett get back.
Mike Peira Just on TV. says the refs screwed up the call on the Mathews late hit. should have been 2 dead ball fouls, so no replaying third down. so bogus touchdown
I think Peira has it wrong, he said both penalties were "dead ball" penalties, but they clearly called the hit by CM a "late hit" whioch is a live ball penalty, I think the refs got it correct
Had a few nice runs, but Sitton's been called for holding on all of them. Defense playing well ovarall and offensive Packer mistakes are the only thing really keeping this one as close as it is.

I think you are wrong. If going by what you say 49ers should have then gotten a 1st and goal at the 2 and then a 15 yard penalty to push them back to the 17. That would never happen.
I'm pretty sure that because it happened as a continuation of the play it is a live ball foul.
As soon as the QB step out of bounds the play was over. Dead Ball foul.
if it was the wrong call the nfl should issue us an apology letter so it will be all good.
The late hit by Clay was a dead ball foul.
Perry setting the edge instead of chasing the invisible ball like Walden did help a lot too. NTM we're just a lot more physical at DT.
If the D can keep it up and the offense cuts out the turnovers, the Packers will win this game by 2+ scores.
Yes, we really played a mistake filled half are tied! Really impressed by our dline!
Tattoo starts the 2nd half with a pick. Book it.
Am I really watching the PACKERS defense?they look awesome and a totally different defense from last I saw them.hopefully they can continue to play the second half with the same intensity.cant imagine the Niners not going to the option in the second half to be as successful as the last game these two played.
run D looks solid
run D looks solid
Coverage of Boldin, not so much.
the secondary does seem rather confused today.
McMillian getting abused
This D needs to create the first TO of the year for them!
Too easy.
Bush vs Davis.
Good call by SF
Not surprised to see 24 out of position.
I'd say Anquan Boldin might be someone you'd want to start covering. What did they give up to get him?
Welp.
We just go down and tie this... it's NOT a big deal.
My question, why was 24 on the field. it wasn't a punt
This is reminding me of Reggie Wayne in the Indy game last year. Offense needs to answer now.
Secondary was out of position that drive
I wish theyd put Cobb back on returns
Why is MacMillian covering boldin?
Why is Jarrett Bush playing defense?
The situation with Boldin is resembling Plaxico's in the NFCCG. I realize that them holding back on rushing upfield on Kaepernick is giving him more time to find Boldin, but they have to do something about him.
This is not the time to go back to 1st down run calls...
Another fricken first and second down run. does he want to lose
just stop trying to run
Two yards total on two running plays killed the drive.
I have a feeling that we're going to see some read-option now.
At some point:
- Jarrett Bush's run achieving a roster spot on the basis of ST and "great practice habits" has to end.
- Ditto for Kuhn.
