Everything for Chicago depends on their OLine and their D holding up. Cutler can make all the throws, but when he's pressured those throws usually go to the defense. He can't handle the heat and seems of disengage when he's hit often (hard to blame him sometimes). There's no changing his personality so their OLine and OC will have to keep him clean and away from pressure. If they can do that and he can get the ball to Bennett and Forte then it will be a tight game.

On the other side, their D has to be respectable. Fox and Fangio are good coaches so I'm afraid they will scheme well against Rodgers although Fangio had to rely on his talent to stop Rodgers when he was with SF. He doesn't have that All-Pro starting 11 he had in SF. Chicago has to pressure Rodgers and take away some routes, if they can do that then it won't be a blowout.

Barring miracles of several fringe players playing lights out and highly unexpectedly, this Bores team may not win more than 2 games.

An executive in Bad Bob's review compared the Bears to an expansion team RE: Talent.

We'll see but IMO it's going to take at least 2 GOOD drafts to swing this franchise around. It doesn't help this is also an aging team.

CHICAGO -- New Zealand native Paul Lasike's stint on the Chicago Bears' practice squad ended after one day.

As a foreign born player, Lasike needs to obtain a new worker Visa every time he switches teams, a detail that apparently slipped through the cracks when the Bears signed the undrafted rookie to their practice squad on Monday. The Bears released Lasike on Tuesday.

A team cannot pay Lasike without an updated worker Visa.

From Monday Morning MD

Randall Cobb, Packers – AC joint separation. The injury appears to be mild and does not require surgery. I think he has a good chance to play Week 1 and I do not anticipate any re-injury issues. He should have full range of motion and will not need a brace. Despite initial worries, Cobb is a “green light”.

Also great news thanks Satori!

It's cheaper to get the NFL Sunday ticket, bvan.

I easily drop $50 on food and beer at the bar watching the game.   I think the ticket, with all the bells and whistles is $200.   If it saves you from the bar four times in the season, you have broken even, plus you get the previously mentioned bells and whistles.   It's not like MLB with all the insane blackout rules.  You get every game and more.

Bak's knee concerns me.

Sarcasm, right?

Honestly, no.  He looked pretty bad when he was dinked up.  I hope Clements will be cover him up a bit if his knee is still tweaked.

Just saw this. I took their lack of moving Bulaga from RT to LT as a sign the ding to the knee was not serious. Had there been concerns Bakhtiari's knee was more serious or long term they would have moved Bulaga and inserted Barclay at RT to allow a new 5 time to gel.
