Kickers are like pitchers: Headcases when hot; headcases when cold....like a box of chocolates....keep them happy.

I hope you're not icing them.
That's cookies...
And only during games.
The reason ginger was much more glaring last season was because this offense sputtered after week 6. If you go back to 2014, his punts weren't a lot better. But just like winning, scoring mass points hides a lot. This team could very well score 30 points a game if they stay healthy. And if I remember right, in those seasons where GB's offense was clicking well, GB had multiple games where they didn't punt once.
Thus the reason why his ability to hold for Crosby weighs more heavily then it would on other teams and why his poor punting really never stood out.
Plus, someone has to pick up everyone's take-out orders from Applebee's. Masthay's skills are many.
Herschel posted:Reason 1A why Masthay will most likely be the punter this year. Walsh was money when Kluwe was his holder and has been sporadic as heck since Locke became the guy.
1B: "They’ve punted in six practices against a rush. Masthay’s average hang time is 4.41 seconds in 31 punts whereas Mortell’s is 4.07 in 28 punts." big diff
So Mortell just needs to kick 3 more times and have them average 7.583 seconds and he'll be in a dead heat.
I think Mortell was a holder in college and has done some holding in the pre-season. Crosby has not missed with Mortell holding yet.
Barclay thought about doing the same thing last year. Decided against it.
Who knew there was such a thing as a major holding award?
Per ESPN, Masthay and Mortell are taking alternate days to punt so don't read too much in Masthay getting all the work today. Tomorrow is Mortell's turn and he'll get all the reps.

The trophy looks awfully familiar:
MM said Mortell was out with a leg.
Tavecchio helped Crosby get his mind right. Maybe Mortell does the same for Ginger. The real prospect of losing your job is a great way to figure out mental makeup.
Could be worse. Bucs drafted a kicker in the second round and he's looking like a head case. To the point he's talking to Ryan Longwell for help. That's not good.
He just wants to know where the good Applebees in Tampa are.
I can tell him where the good strip clubs are in Tampa.
Didn't Masthay set a Packers record for net avg last season?
Thanks to Janis.
Zook, Simmons, and scheme.

Not working it seems.
Another miss for Aguayo. This one he kicked into the line. Overall, Aguayo was 3-for-6 on kicks in 11-on-11 work today. #Bucs

Just goes to show, you are better off drafting a drunk polack.
H5 and C'jon may be onto something.
It looks to me this preseason Masthay's net has been getting killed from poor coverage and/or penalties.
