Yup...and meanwhile, the Eagles have acquired 3 WR's today alone. This is just completely mind boggling.

But did they get an H back in the 3rd round that most people had as an UDFA? Hmm?
Need a Mark Tauscher/Donald Driver finish to this draft.
Is there a chance the Packers pick the same player twice in a row?
K J Hill and a fat slob please
Tuszka time?
Jake Hanson, my favorite pick thus far.
Maybe this Indiana OT will work out a little better than the last one?
Gutekunst in a single image.
Back to back linemen in Runyan and Stepaniak that project inside in the NFL. Wonder if they project one of their current OG's as the future RT or if they think Runyan can play OT?
Prince is still on the board, so Gutey is in the same boat with the other 31 GM's.

Could be thinking ahead to when Linsley's contract ends after next season. Slide Jenkins back to his best posiiton at C, and move one of these guys into the guard spot.

So what was it about Prince that made every team pass on him until right after our pick and then we selected someone who had ACL surgery in Dec. in front of him? Is that draft grade so far off base or is every team in the NFL just that fn' stupid?

I think it's that our GM is the smartest guy in the room.
They just REFUSE to take WR!?!? KJ Hill possibly in the 7th??? My guess is he'll be gone by then...
Sometimes I just wonder about these draft grade rankings. They're all over the place depending on who did the rankings.
Stepaniak was the 19th OT taken and Prince the 20th. Wonder if they're thinking of moving Stepaniak inside and didn't feel that Prince would make that transition as well? No idea...

Chargers took him.
Either way, I know to trust Gutey!
Why a lot of people are hell bent on moving Jenkins baffles the mind. Dude played LG at a high level his rookie season. You shouldn't fuck with that.
I don't think so either Henry. I'd keep Jenkins at G and let him continue to learn and flourish at the position. Stop jerking these O linemen around all the time and let them settle into a role.
GLovePace sure loves his shotgun approach. Shit flinger.
Shotgun approach tells me that you're not real confident in your ability to evaluate one player over the other so you better take them all, "just in case". Lot's of teams do it but it seems like the better drafting teams are more definitive about the certain players and positions they're targeting.
I hope he looks like a genius after this draft.
Looks like we may go through this draft without taking a single WR or DL player. If you had told me that before the draft I would have said you were crazy.
242 will be a wr just to complete the troll
6 or 7 Mr Irrelevants now
There are more than a few CB Iâd like to see here

Ron Wolf did it with CBs the year after Randy Moss was a rookie.
TT did it with CBs year and after year.
I found this comment on acme. Thought I'd post it since it sums up my thinking about this draft...
Weâre not playing a McCarthy West Coast spread it out offense reliant on receivers winning 1v1âs and counting on Rodgers to drop dimes week in, week out. Above all else, you have to draft players that fit the philosophy of the coach which for MLF will be run-heavy, play-action offense similar to the Titans. The teams that have coaches that survive many years are the teams that have a clear philosophy and draft players that fit into the philosophy. Otherwise, weâre wasting time fitting square pegs in round holes and repeating the same process again and again. The immediate needs get filled in free agency. The future is addressed in the draft.
Every single offensive pick fits into that philosophy. The problem is the fans are grading these picks on a rubric based on McCarthyâs offensive philosophy and not LaFleurâs.

No. DL.
Packers WRs drafted since D. Adams.
2020 - none
2019 - none
2018- J'Mon Moore (4), MVS (5), E. St. Brown (6),
2017 -Yancey (5), Dupree (7)
2016 - T. Davis (5)
2015 - Montgomery (3)
2014 - Abbrederis (5), Janis (7) (both drafted after Adams that year).
10 WRs drafted since Adams in 7 drafts. 9 total receiving TDs from those 10 despite playing with a top 5 QB all time.
Rodgers may not be the easiest guy to get along with, but my god how can he not go insane from that list.
Love to see us getting high marks from the experts on monday but i suspect we'll get a lot of D grades.
I know. Did you see how well it worked out for Wolf. The 3rd pick of the bunch ended up being the best and then forced his way out of town through a trade to NO. I wouldn't say it was very successful for TT either. Randall/Rollins... TT did sometimes hit on one of his, "double down" picks.
We did parlay Vinson into a trade for Ahman Green so that definitely worked out for us!

I understand .... however it still pains me to pass over a guy like Queen in favor of a player who we hope never has to play .

I look at our WR corps last year and find it had one legitimate NFL WR (Adams) and a 3rd/4th teamer (Lazard). Upgrading your WR corps to those who actually are real WR's has nothing to do with "offensive philosophy." It was a position of need, whether you have a run based offense or not. Taking not a single WR in a draft that was the strongest in recent NFL history is a failure by the GM.
He's wrong. Having one, maybe two competent WR is not a strategy for any offensive scheme. Neither is having a massive hole in the middle of your defense.
As much as Mayo wants the run he still has Rodgers. Handicapping a great QB is either stupidly ignoring that fact or they're mailing in on the rest of his career in Green Bay.
