Per NFLN, Brady is coming back for another season with the Bucs!

Nothing personal against the guy, but didn't he retire to spend more time with his family?  I mean, between he and his wife, they have a bajillion dollars, so it's not money.  It's not about family either, because they clearly take a second seat.  I think he's addicted to the fame, the competition, the lure of another SB ring and his ego.  I couldn't care less that he's back - the Bucs aren't going to be the same team this year.

Not necessarily team news but...

Aikman is getting almost $100 million over 5 years, and Buck reportedly in the $60-75 million range over 5 years. It will be a welcome change not having these two for the Fox Game of the Week anymore...

Tis the season for stupid money. And we wonder how salaries get so high. Just takes one dumbass owner to blow things all to hell.

Except it hasn’t been that stupid. Most guys changing teams have been for modest money thus far. Drew Rosenhaus clients seem to make up the majority of signings, but the extensions  have mostly been the wtf dollars.

Will they still be seen and heard weekly?

@AdamSchefter: Former Packers’ pass rusher Za'Darius Smith is signing a four-year, $35 million deal that has a max value of $50 million with the Baltimore Ravens, per source.

This is agent speak. Schefter probably just copied and pasted it word for word.

The real question is how much money is guaranteed. In any event, 9 million a year is not big money for an elite pass rusher. It's likely Z. Smith didn't have a huge market.

@TomPelissero:  #Browns QB Baker Mayfield has requested a trade, per sources.

Cleveland has been hoping to move forward after its Deshaun Watson pursuit and offered to fly to Texas to meet with Mayfield. But from the QB’s perspective, the bridge is burned and it’s time to move on now.

What does Mayfield think the Brown's will get for him? A massage worn towel?

He might be a guy we could bring in to challenge Kurt Benkert for the 3rd string job.  πŸ˜œ

Cleveland’s front office is running around high giving each other.

Looked like he would be a Falcon. Glad to see him out of the NFC
