Deshawn Watson signing with Browns per reports.
The #Titans are signing TE Austin Hooper to a one-year, $6 million deal, per source.

In the end, I see the FRONT OFFICE of both teams screwing this up
Desean watson chooses the browns. saints are crying.....
Watson gets 5 years 230 million.
The difference in QB talent in the AFC vs NFC is as wide a gap as I can remember. One key reason Jordan Love may get more interest then we may think.

Disgraceful.
The Browns. Perfect spot for Watson. It will probably end up a clown show of sorts.
I hope they ask Baker to turn his keys to then stadium when he leaves.
I'll call it--Mayfield to the Seahawks.
And the other price/tab....
Sources: The #Browns and #Texans are in agreement on a trade for Deshaun Watson. Itβs three first-round picks, a third-rounder and late-round pick swap, a fourth for a fifth.

Itβs done. Heβs a member of the #Browns.
Juju Smiff-Schuster headed to the Chefs
They must have 10 WR's on the roster...
Jimmy Haslamβs 10 years as Brownsβ owner have been eventful with QBs that include: Johnny Manziel, Brian Hoyer, RG3, Brandon Weeden, Austin Davis, Josh McCown, DeShone Kizer, Kevin Hogan, Cody Kessler, Tyrod Taylor, Baker Mayfield and now, Deshaun Watson.

Mhm...
If Watson suffers a career ending injury in year 1 or 2 it will put Cleveland in the cap hell they will never recover from.

Browns had to massage the salary cap to squeeze him in.
@D J posted:All money guaranteed.
We know how that will end.
Watson only gets happy endings.

It's going to come around sooner or later...
1. I guess Watson had more value that Wilson.
2. We shoulda got more than that for Rodgers!
Watson gets 230 million FULLY GUARANTEED.
Watson gets a quarter of a billion after being accused by 22 different women in a civil suit that is still ongoing. You would have to think all these teams knew he wouldn't get a suspension from Goodell.
Calvin Ridley loses 10 million for legally betting 0.005% of his salary on a football game while he was on leave from the NFL.
Unreal boy am I out of touch with reality.
I forgot to add that if the 'Aints are crying, the Falcons must be bawling.
They were prepared to jettison Ryan to get Watson, and they still may trade him, but they have nobody to replace him.

Watson is 26 years old. Wilson is 33. Rodgers is 38.
@YATittle posted:$10.75 million. Yikes. Too much.
Davante's contract is going to have some trickle down effects on all the other WR contracts.
Those picks! Texans fleeced Cleveland, and the Cleveland FO gave that up for a guy who hasn't played in a year with those lawsuits hanging overhead? And if the NFL doesn't give him some sort of suspension...
Is there even a market for Mayfield? I guess he could be a reclamation project for Atlanta or Tampa Bay maybe. He's probably morphing into Nick Foles/Chase Daniel as we write.

It's a really odd angle in all of this. I don't recall such a scenario happening previously. How many qbs were alienated in the pursuit of Watson? Can't blame anyone for joining the sweepstakes, but guys like Mayfield were put in a really shitty position. Same for Ryan had ATL closed the deal. I know it's a business, but Mayfield was invested and a big part of what they put together regardless of their disappointing 2021 season. Is Deshaun Watson a sure thing in cold, dank, windy Cleveland?
Matthew Stafford signed four year $160 million extension. He'll probably retire as a Ram. $135 million guaranteed.
And Stafford has the same number of SBs as Rodgers.

Iβve heard this joke way too often. I sent a message to my congressman.
To make happy endings legal?
Oh shit. Theyβre not?
Rams traded Robert Woods to the Titans for a sixth round pick in 2023....
Won the super bowl without him and injured. Dump him for a sixth rounder.
What a crazy off-season.
For a 6th that could be a good get. If heβs healthy, Woods is a good receiver. Not flashy, but solid with good routes, good hands and blocks even.
