Tyreke Hill beats his girlfriend and his 3 year old son - 72 million guaranteed.

DeShaun Watson is credibly accused of harassment by 22 women - 230 million guaranteed.

Calvin Ridley - bets $1500 legally on an NFL game while he's on leave. Gets banned for a year and loses 10 million.

We should turn it off, not give another dime to these owners who continue to look past the atrocious behavior of some of their employees.  Turning off, stop patronizing their partners and not buying merchandise.  That’s the only way, thru their pocketbooks.

You first.

I admit. I can't quit it. Too many good memories of watching games with parents, grandparents, and friends.

Well, some of the owners are also part of the fucking problem.  It’s not like all of them follow the proper moral and ethical and legal codes all the time.

But I do agree- quit watching and buying their shit.  You know the league won’t do shit to remedy their issues.

It’s gotten to a point with me where it’s a rare occasion that I watch or listen to an NFL game if it’s not the Packers.  Even then, I’ll DVR and play back portions of the game if I’ve got other stuff going on.

Well I admit I watch the games so indirectly the NFL gets my money via TV contracts and website ad revenue.  But I haven't directly given a dollar to the NFL in years.  I haven't bought NFL gear in well over 10 years, gone to a game since 2013, and don't pay for cable (I can only watch Fox, CBS and NBC games via my HD antenna).  So it's possible.

NFL is what it is.  Everyone should just stop pretending that we care.  GMs and coaches are fired based on on-field performance, not off-field arrests.  So it should not be surprising that they ignore off-field issues.  Forgot who said it but a few years ago a scout said something to effect of "if Hannibal Lecter ran a 4.3, we'd say he just had an eating disorder".

A second grand jury in another Texas county has convened to hear evidence against Cleveland Browns quarterback Deshaun Watson.

As CBS Sports cap expert Joel Corry explained in his deep dive of the deal, nobody expected Watson to get this kind of contract considering the sexual assault and misconduct allegations he's still facing. It even looks like the Cleveland Browns adjusted the contract to help him with his looming suspension.

Per NFL Media's Ian Rapoport, Watson's base salary for 2022 is just $1 million, which means if/when he's suspended, it will come out of that base.

@AdamSchefter:  Former Seahawks’ Pro-Bowl linebacker Bobby Wagner is signing a five-year, $50 million deal worth up to $65 million with the Los Angeles Rams, per league sources. Wagner is staying in the NFC West.

Unpossible! I was told that the Rams who went all-in for 2021 were in cap hell after that.

The SB champs have made themselves better with several signings.

Meanwhile, we have the worst receiving corps in the NFL.
