Barry’s bend but don’t break schemes have led to scores on 3 of 5 drives.   The points per game stat looks good as we slow the game down, but in the 2nd half those FGs become TDs as the defense tires from so many snaps.  It’s such a moronic philosophy.

MLF can look at points per game and say we played well on D.   We didn’t.  I imagine if you looked at points per drive, we are further down the rankings than we are points per game.

Today feels predetermined, as in no matter how our offense plays, the defense will lose the game. Is the talent/execution that poor? Is it the scheme? Is it some of both? I think most of us feel similarly. Really can’t wait until Murphy is gone, then a real and effective leadership structure can be restored, and accountability at all levels can occur.

I found a points per play stat and we rank well.  But that’s because we have 800 plays while the other top teams have 700 plays.  

I hate this philosophy more than socialism.
