Sooooo, while Packer fans have been focusing on Philly, Detroit, and the Queens, it is perhaps worth noting that not only is Jayden Daniels going to be on his rookie deal for 3 more seasons but Washington has the 3rd most cap space this offseason.
The Commanders have a lot of $$ to spend to get better.

Yes. Unless you are sure you are getting a truly elite QB like Mahomes, Allen, Jackson, or Burrow; the whole reason to draft a 1st round guy is to get him on the field no later than his second year so you have three years of the rookie contract. If he's just a Cousins, Lawrence, etc., you aren't going anywhere. Love sure looks more like Cousins or Lawrence than an elite guy.

Williams was the 12th pick in the draft even when he was going to be out his entire rookie year from an ACL tear. Watson was a 2nd round pick.
Williams was the best college WR Alabama has had the one year he played. Watson played in North Dakota.
Watson is fast, but Williams ran a 4.25 while rehabbing and was rumored to be capable of running a sub 4.20.
There is no comparison. And that's with Williams underachieving somewhat.
