Love picked a really bad time to morph back into the guy that dropped into the bottom of the 1st round at Utah State.

What a terrible decision. As bad as any that Favre ever did.

Jordan Love was not ready. Big-time choke job there. Frustrating to lose your last chance on just an idiotic decision.

What?!? It’s not Carlsons fault all of a sudden?!?

Not so much for me. They fell apart in a winnable game.

They used to say Dan Marino was going to be back to several Super Bowls when he lost in his rookie year.

You only get so many chances.

The Packers choked.

Love fell apart. Never an expectation about Barry’s Funeral Defense.

So much for Love getting $50 million. Crapping the bed when he was needed the most.

Never base evaluation on a 10 game stretch, and never give a ridiculous contract based on same.Yes. That last throw was exactly what everyone was worried about with Love. He made terrible decisions in college like that. It is who is is at his core - a guy that is just good enough to lose.

It's one thing making throws when you are way ahead like last week.

Pressure situations tell you a lot about who players really are. We learned a lot about Carlson and Love in the last 10 minutes.

That was a Brett Favre level meltdown, especially because it happened with 40 seconds, two timeouts, and on a first down.

Someone can bookmark this for down the road, and I hope I'm wrong, but that decision by Love suggests to me he's not ever going to be a consistent winner.

He's not a rookie. He's had 4 years of coaching.

At his heart, he's a guy that will lose you games if it comes down to it.

Don’t base it on a ten game stretch where he was arguably the best quarterback in the NFL and carried the youngest team in the NFL almost to the NFC Championship Game, but do base it on one game in a torrential downpour against one of the best defensive front sevens Love will ever see?

Genius. 🤦🏻‍♂️

It was, but if you are a max contract QB you can't make those types of decisions.

Carlson missed, but it wasn't like he made a stupid decision. He just missed slightly right.

Love threw a pass on 1st down that would have been picked by 3 different Niner defenders. Across his body, across the field, on first down.

His last pass was one of the worst decisions you'll ever see a QB make. Yes. it has to affect your judgement of him.

They may not still have won, but he made sure they didn't have a final chance.

There’s plenty of blame to go around MP.

It was 3rd down I think

Nope.

We really, really need to fix ST.  I’m sorry, but I don’t think Biscuitaroni is the guy for the job.  It’s been our Achilles heel now how many big games?  But, the forties looks bright.  A few more pieces and we’re going to be monstrous.  A few more taking advantage of opportunities, and we win this game.  We’re so close.  I expect us to dominate next year.

The defense could’ve made a stop, Love played like shit most of the second half, Carlson missed. If we would’ve taken care of the other two things the Carlson missed is a non factor.

It's not Love's fault, but it's also not not Love's fault. He had a chance to make a moment and shit the bed. The last drive of the season will always be most memorable good or bad. He choked and it's undeniable. Brutal throw to end the game.

Same BS every year. Defense melts down, special teams melt down, 3rd down conversions by opponents.

Add in Love's lay once they took that 21-14 lead, it was abysmal; not just that game ending crappy throw.

It’s sort of funny of funny and sad at the same time.

We’re talking about Savage, Barry’s schemes, Carlson’s accuracy, some shaky tackling, and Love failing to get them over the hump in a key moment.

These were all things that came to light during the season as concerns and wouldn’t you know it.  It shows up in the most important game of the year.

I think you have to give the kid a break.  He didn’t miss the FG.  He didn’t drop a pick six.  He was trying to win the game at the end and sis we really want the game in the hands of the most inaccurate kicker we’ve ever had?  It is what it is.  He’s young, and it’s a young team.  The arrow is pointing up.

Carlson being the kicker is out of Bisacci's hands. Other than the miss, our ST's outplayed theirs today

Biggest moment, and he wilted multiple times after they took a 21-14 lead. Had you been paying attention, it wasn't just that game ending INT.

This could be the equivalent of the 2009 Arizona playoff game, but I don't think it is.

I think this is more post-Holmgren Favre type games. Love is good enough to win you regular season games, but he reverted to form when the pressure was on. The knock on him in college was always that he had all the tools, was a great kid, but would make poor decisions under pressure.

Not with two brutal picks. It's winner take all and he came up short. Doesn't make him a bad QB, but it detracts from a player being magical. The playoffs are the crucible. The opportunities are rare and how you perform in those moments define your legacy. Kid is going to have a lot more based on his talent, but he definitely has to learn from tonight. Wasn't good enough against a middling QB on the other side. Turnovers are inexcusable.

But we're talking about it.  May I remind everyone that most people said before the season started that they'd be happy if we just won 7 games?

And yet we're here in the Divisional round of the playoffs complaining about all these things.  It's a good problem to have.
