@Maxi54 posted:Just wondering if a FA CB like Stephon Gilmore would be too rich for the Packers blood? He isn't the shut down Corner he used to be but he's still pretty serviceable.
I'd like to see us find one more decent Vet at either Corner or LB...or maybe both? ๐ Then I think Hafley will be ready to roll.
I'm holding out hope for Stokes, at least until July/August.

Moron.
Somebody has to finish out of the top 20.
It's hard to be the draft darlings when you select in the bottom 25% every year.
Falcons were last. Lolol ๐คฃ

It usually does ever year according to the experts just as the Bears score high every year. Glad we suck
Field Yates was on ESPN Milwaukee yesterday and mentioned that he always weighs the higher picks when grading, and he gave CHI an A.
Chicago couldn't go wrong with the 1st pick, considering nearly everyone thinks Caleb is a can't miss. Odunze fell in their laps and is a sexy pick, but they should've taken OT, and had Fashanu and Fuaga sitting there.

Mrs. Finn, the Lions fan, was bitching a lot. "When is Detroit picking, why is it so late?" I loved it.
From ACME Packing:
"Gutekunst also mentioned in his post-draft press conference that all five of the players that Green Bay selected in the first two days of the 2024 draft โ Jordan Morgan, linebacker Edgerrin Cooper, safety Javon Bullard, running back Marshawn Lloyd and linebacker TyโRon Hopper
โ received first- or second-round grades from the scouting department. "
What's he going to say, "the scouts said these guys suck, but whatever, I like 'em."?
At least they're not hinging their future on JJ McPonder.

If you listen to the question asked and his response he actually has a tell that he didn't get as much value as he would have liked.
The reporter asked if his first three rounds netted him all players from his top 50 on the board, which Gute said would probably happen. Gute hedged and said that all the players drafted had about a 2nd round or better grade. There are 64 picks in two rounds, so it sounds like a few of the guys he got were not in his top 50 like he predicted that would be, yet he still made it sound impressive.

Behind paywall. Who are the top 5 projections?
Not a paywall....install the substack app and it's free.
Only reason EdgeCoop fell into round 2 is because the teams don't value the position highly. I see no reason he shouldn't have been drafted in late round 1, like a Patrick Queen. He has all the physical tools and athleticism.
easily the second best Cooper in the draft.
