Yep (Mike Francesa said so at the time), and when they finally start to develop a Robert Brooks, Sterling is forced to retire, then Brooks tears his ACL and lost 2-steps when he returned.  I remember when Brooks came back the next season off his injury, Mike and the Mad Dog were talking about how Brooks had lost 2-steps, they were shocked, as players coming off an ACL even in the 1990s didn't usually lose speed.

With Sterling and Brooks, what a run they could have had. F'injuries.
