#9's pops shining a lot on something very important. Functional training > traditional training.

May seem like something basic, but lots of NFL and college strength guys are old school. They have guys doing a lot of exercises that don't pertain to what they do on the field. This isn't such a huge deal in non-contact sports...but football, hockey, MMA...training to your movements is the key to longevity in the sport. And perhaps that is one reason they moved on from Gizzi.

Dillon is as lean as I've seen him. He has to have really modified his diet. You don't get that lean without severely restricting carbohydrates, and likely, ditching all alcohol. Will that translate to on-field performance? Not sure...but if he's being used in any role other than the Juszczyk one, it's an L on MLF. I think he has the build and RAS to excel in that role. Lead blocker, short-yardage specialist, and catching the ball out of the backfield like an H.

Must want to sign somebody and needed the space on the 90 man roster.

Someone linked a story about how the Cheatriots "stole" an UFL player from the Packers in the last day or two.
Within that story, IIRC, the author mentioned the Packers were at 89 players, so they could've signed this guy without a corresponding release.
So the story goes...

Other than the HC, of course, I imagine the ST coordinators and associated coaches have likely had a very busy offseason. Given the new rule, they have to plan for both KO coverage and return... while trying to get the kicker's head on straight, see if the new long snapper is going to work, plus the punt teams.

I hope we find out this is a strong suit of Bisaccia. He's got plenty of weapons to work with and surely has the drive and motivation. Now let's see his wizardry come to life.

P.S. to Bisaccia: If you ain't cheatin', you ain't tryin'.

New rules are going to impact the skill set that NFL teams want in a kicker.   The smart coaches will figure it out fast and have an advantage for a year or two.    I don’t know what that skill set is, but hopefully the boys at 1265 do.

It'll end up like everything else. The really smart guys figure out something effective, the guys that are smart enough to know they're not the really smart guys but also like their paychecks will copy those tactics and the lugheads who think they're smarter than everyone else will keep doing it their way and fail spectacularly.
