Speaking of jokes, here's a funny one from CHTV:

"Over the last three weeks, Green Bay has a 42-3 edge in the first quarter and a 66-6 advantage in the first half."

This season, Rodgers has completed 62.0 percent of his passes at 9.5 yards per attemptβ€”with six touchdowns, zero turnovers and a 132.8 passer ratingβ€”against the blitz.

Poor QB play.

This stat on Rodgers always amazes me. Most QB's have a worse passer rating against the blitz while Rodger's rating actually improves.

A more important stat would be what the percentage is that Rodgers actually throws when being blitzed.  Does he throw a small percentage of times because he wants the sure thing and so takes a bunch of sacks instead or is he often getting the ball out in time against the blitz?  If he manages the throw only 10 or 20 percent of the time he is blitzed, then DCs are still likely to take their chances.

RODGERS: β€œWe had some drops and obviously a couple of poor throws.”

RODGERS on the safety: β€œWe had the call that we liked. We just didn’t win at the point of attack.”

RODGERS on missed 4th down TD pass to Jordy: β€œHe ran a really nice route and I just missed the spot by a lot. It was a bad throw.”

RODGERS: on whether the injury or Olivia Munn is impacting him?: "Those are so idiotic it's not even worth responding to either one of those"

RODGERS: "Five letters for every body out there in Packerland today: R-E-L-A-X. Relax. We’re going to be OK.”

Absolutely!  And I would love to see more negative press on him and hope he comes out with a big chip on his shoulder this next game against the Panthers.   The game will be interesting. I have no idea how this game will turn out.

Dude, I was thinking that way too, but realized I really, really want this win and HFA. We saw what losing that SEA game did to us early last season. I want this game, this season, this Super Bowl.

I agree too, if all our players and coaches give their all, we win. Talented team.

Nice article in the Washington Post about Rodgers' time at Butte CC.

I found this quote amusing:

... Rodgers’s performances at Butte had reached [Cal head coach Ted] Tedford; the coach couldn’t help but notice the velocity on the throws, the torque he generated from his hips and shoulders, the way Rodgers didn’t need to set his feet to make an accurate pass.

β€œNot too many people can do some of the things he does,” Tedford said, acknowledging that Rodgers’s instincts and habits might have been trained out of him if he had wound up someplace besides Butte.

Amusing since Tedford's shoehorning Aaron into his mechanistic QB matrix (which, admittedly, paid off nicely against college competition) didn't pay off too much once 12 hit the bigs. His first season in GB was rather painful to watch.

It was only after MM broke him down and let him go back to a more natural throwing style that Rodgers took the huge step forward.t
