I'm confident many of the people who read your post feel badly about your experience and wish you had had the opportunity to grow up in a loving and caring environment.  Best of luck to you.

I knew he wasn't the sharpest knife but....

Per the report, Peterson allegedly told a courthouse employee that Peterson “smoked a little weed” before providing a sample on Wednesday.  Prosecutors have requested that Peterson’s bond be rescinded, and that he be arrested.

In AP's defense, he's not playing this season, so I doubt he gets drug tested by the NFL, so toking a bit isn't that big of a deal, IMO.  He should fire his lawyer, for not telling him that he might have to take a wiz quiz.

None of the players are tested for recreational drugs during the season.

AGAIN?! is there any law AP hasn't broken? i'm starting to think 'he' stole my 10-speed in 2007.

Looks like Adrian Peterson is being rep'd by Merv Griffin's twin brother.

If they did test during the season-  they wouldn't have a league and they know it

...And were still blind and stupid, stoned or not.

AP knew the rules; probation officers don't mess around, and signing paperwork acknowledging terms and conditions of probation. If he was stupid enough to put himself at risk....

I'm not seeing anything about actually failing the piss test, just verbally admitting to it.

First off, this guy might be suffering from mild retardation.  Second, he can use that as an excuse and just say he misunderstood the question in some way.  Example, I thought he was asking if I ever did drugs.  I smoked a little weed once in High school.

I see where you're going with this. What if a big OL' bag of weed formed itself into a switch and stuffed bear spontaneously morphed into a living version of Brad Childress and whipped that weed into APs testicles and Ray Rice has the video to prove it?

Be hard to prove that didn't happen.

Minor correction:  AP is on bond, not probation.  Probation, if ordered by the court, would take place post-conviction.

Peterson's at home watching Murray tearing it up this year, and AP doesn't want to be out of the limelight. Would the Vikings bring him back? They are at 4-5 and at a crossroads. This is their bye week, so if they get a plea deal in place soon he could be ready to go for their next game. I don't think Viking fans would want him back, but a plethora of sins have been forgotten when it comes to sports heroes. (Ray Lewis, Big Ben, Dante Stallworth, domestic abusers, etc., etc.) Will fans forgive someone who whipped a child?

Goodell would probably reinstate him right away because the matter was solved in the courts. IMHO, yes, the courts have solved the matter according to law, but I'd make AP sit out the rest of this year for "tarnishing the shield." Although, I'd rather he be punished just the way he punished his son.

my only thought is that he shouldn't play another down anywhere until he can admit that what he did was wrong.  I have yet to see him state that unequivocally.  he still seems to think "that's the way we do things in the south" is alright justification.

I'll be shocked if AP isn't starting at RB for the Vikings this weekend  edit.... next game after the bye week.

And make no mistake. The Vikings and their fans will welcome him back with a warm loving embrace,

You're absolutely right, Chilli. When this first came out, I was hearing some Vikings fans say to trade him. Now they all want to welcome him back. Classless. The entire organization, from the owner down to the lowliest fan, is classless.

I sure wish I was rich and famous so I could have access to a different justice system.
