CHTV has a blurb saying prices are coming down
quote:
According to our partners at TiqIQ, ticket prices for the Super Bowl have dropped 31% over the course of the past week.

That still puts the worst seats in the $1800 range, but it's at least a start for anyone serious about going.

For what it's worth, a friend of mine went to Miami last year to watch the Colts. He said opening prices came down by more than half in the days leading up to the game and ended up paying about $2500 for a pair. Different year, different fan bases, different stadium, but might be something to watch for.
HIGHLAND PARK, TX - Across from the high school football stadium in Highland Park sits a indoor practice facility that may get to host a special guest.

The reason everyone is so excited on this campus is that the NFL has picked this facility as a potential workout location for the NFC Champion Green Bay Packers. It's their contribution to Super Bowl week and they're proud of it.

"Oh yeah, highland park hosting an NFL team to workout is a great thrill yeah," says Highland Park head football coach Randy Allen. "That's a big recognition."

IMMHCO...I think that, those who do not have friends or family w/ties to either team, would want the NFC team to win, whether it be for that reason only or because they do not want the Steelers to get a 7th ring.

In my case it's both of the above and because I have been here on X4 for so long and because that before the Cowboys were a team, as I have noted before, I saw the Packers play more than any other team and was somewhat of a fan.
I just heard something unusual on the news.
The NFL is paying money to a local Wal-Mart close for Super Bowl Sunday. The Wal-Mart is across the street from the north side of the stadium.

Usually half of that parking lot is used by the stadium...during football games and other events so the NFL must want the whole thing...plus it will keep shoppers away.
I wonder how much money that cost the NFL.

just now, on the same newscast they interviewed Pat Summerall. He said he was a sideline reporter for NBC at the first SB, GB/KC. NBC returned from a com. break late and missed a kick-off by GB. the network asked him to go over to Coach Lombardi and ask him to kick the ball again so they could televise it but he would not.
How funny!
I wish I would have remembered this a few days ago.
For those of you who will drive or rent a car here. If you make a purchase at one of the stores in this shopping center [in the link]....you can park free by putting your reciept on the dash of your car for proof of purchase.

The center is w/in walking distance of the stadium [if you like to walk] or you can ride a shuttle.
