Supposedly asked for a lot to take a head coaching job and turned some people off.

Next year, you could be looking at job openings in Dallas, Philly, or Buffalo.

This is 2 years in a row that Ben Johnson turned down H C jobs.  Next years teams may not give him a call.  Maybe he thinks he is not H C material.

Reportedly, BJ thinks he is a big catch and waiting for a big bucks, prime opportunity. Could happen, but Jim Leonard said no to MLF last year and now he’s out of running.

Washington football team naming Dan Quinn as HC. Meaning all HC positions are filled.

The DC fans aren’t thrilled. Retread plus EVERYBODY saw how MLF and Love destroyed his defense. The new team management didn’t do a great job of getting out there and beating others to the punch for the new shiny candidates. The detritus of 20 years of Dan Snyder still hurts as their stadium and team facilities are the worst in the league.

Per reports, Joe Whitt is expected to be Quinn's new DC in Washington. Which means MM, a lame duck head coach on his last year of his contract, now needs a new DC.

Al Harris? That would be a risky promotion. Dall-ass will be a mess again by the end of 2024.

Rinse. Repeat.

SF too.....and Buffalo

...and thanks for expanding my vocabulary "detritus" WTAF?!? 😆

Many have been asking about Elliot Wolf, here is a blurb I found in an article about Alex Van Pelt becoming Pats O C.

In Green Bay, Van Pelt worked with current Patriots director of scouting Eliot Wolf, who enters his fifth season in New England and is emerging as a leading front-office presence following Bill Belichick's 24-year tenure. Alongside Mayo, the 41-year-old Wolf was part of the Patriots' interviews with assistant coaches, according to sources. Wolf, the son of Pro Football Hall of Fame executive Ron Wolf, was with the Packers from 2004-2017 -- crossing over with Van Pelt for six seasons.

Not a DC....isn't that interesting. LB coach is his ceiling

You still lose. Pay up.

I shouldn't lose on that.... And you know it. I meant DC.

That's okay. I didn't specifically say it. Private message me your Venmo. $1.98 incoming

Bullshit

Just because you don’t know doesn’t mean I don’t know.

I know it might be shocking or hard to admit someone on this planet knows more than you about a certain subject. I assure you it happens.

I'm glad to see you're learning.... Well done.

...and yes I meant DC but I didn't specifically say that. That's fine.

I still don't have your Venmo. Maybe someone that knows something about that subject can help you.

I agree with this...

Looks like the Packers and Dolphins traded linebacker coaches. 🤔

Johnson has hitched his wagon to the Meathead,  it may have cost any chance of being a NFL head coach.

From S I:   “Washington’s party of five then boarded for Detroit, and found out over the in-flight WiFi on X that Johnson had pulled out of their search,” Breer wrote on Monday. “Minutes later, a text that the Lions OC sent at 12:45 p.m. to inform the team of his decision came through.”

In a recent article by The Athletic, a league source close to the situation called it “outrageous…That’s not how you conduct business. It is how you ruin your reputation.”

Let's look at it from both sides....

It is possible....He sent the text to the Washington leadership FIRST....then sent the tweet.

What can happen is the text is queued up on the network (Verizon, AT&T, etc) and since they were on a plane....they received the text AFTER the tweet....even though the text was sent FIRST.

Either way....like Fandame says...."Pick up the phone and make an actual voice call" and do that BEFORE sending your tweet....that way it's is 100% clear.

It's funny you mentioned that, I was going to add it in my post as I thought about it right away.

Don't want this thread turning into another "Jets" thread.
