Giannis keeps shooting fadeaways and now a 3?
And Durant now gets another foul call. This time on Giannis. It looked like another phantom call. He's on pace to draw about 40 fouls.

Heβs afraid of getting a chargeβ¦ all the calls going their way, I donβt blame him. Need to survive this storm. But if they donβt start making shots, this shits over. 3-9 to startβ¦
Put Giannis at the dunkerβs spot so they canβt defend him from the top of the kry with the whole fucking defense. Whatdya say, Budβ¦
Wowβ¦

The officials completely set the tone for this game to start. Basically established that Durant is unguardable tonight.
Well- the gameplan is clear- they have put their stars on Middleton neutralized him.

Unfortunately, Blake Griffin has somehow neutralized Giannis.
I know it's only 5 quarters, but if you were a neutral observer, you'd think this is probably Nets in 5 games.
Wellβ¦ thatβs what it looks like when your coach does not have you prepared for what theyβre doing. The Bucks just keep trying to jam that square peg in that round hole. No changes, no adjustment. They thought that Middleton was the weak link- and now they know it. They know what the Bucks are going to do before they do it, because theyβre smarter.
Down 21 after 13 minutes. A complete annihilation right now.

And yet Giannis still out there jacking up 20 footers early in the shot clock.
Bucks are being played even up by the Nets with Durant and Irving sitting.
The body language at this point looks like the Bucks have almost conceded the Nets are the better team.
The Bucks are more likely to be behind 30 at the half than within single digits.
Giannis is 0 for 5 from the line. That's obviously pathetic.
Middleton is 6 for 29 in the series.
Bucks defense getting broken down by Mike James.
This first quarter shot distribution does not seem well thought out.
Milwaukee's made and attempted shots in the first quarter of Game 2 vs. the Nets: Restricted Area: 0/0 Midrange: 5/10 3-Pointers: 3/10 Milwaukee has gotten away from who they are. Not getting any pressure on the rim. Have to also credit to Brooklyn for playing strong team D.
Bud hits the panic button and goes zone. I'm guessing this won't work.

I mean, any defensive scheme that maximizes the chances Durant and Irving get wide open 3s is intelligent, right?
What the hell is going on with the π¦ π¦ π¦ π¦ π¦ π³ π³ π³
This execution tonight makes Bud's Miami 2020 playoff series look like a coaching clinic. None of this makes any sense.
Grant Hillβs 100% right- Bucks just come down, one on one, Jack up the first shot they see. Been like that all season.
Not one guy on the Bucks has played even average so far tonight. All of them have ranged from below average to pathetic, most trending towards pathetic.
Middleton is 6/31 in the series. ππππ
Why the fuck would you play zone against a team with Kevin Durant?
If that sequence doesnβt illustrate how much Middleton drags this team down- transition turnover, telegraphs the corner pass and so back to back turnovers.
Bud will be coaching for his job when they get back to Milwaukee.
Steve Nash isn't exactly known as a strategic genius and he's eating Bud's lunch.
A zone against a team with Durant, Irving, and Joe Harris? A zone? That's almost up there with Jason Kidd telling guys to miss FTs up 3 at the end of the game so that they couldn't give up a 4 point play.
I fully admit that I had forgotten just how great Irving and Durant could be when at their best and tonight they both brought their A games. The rest of that team fed off those 2 and itβs just a complete embarrassment for the Bucks.
They donβt miss Harden at all.
Bud is a fucking idiot. Heβs borderline Mike McCarthy. Complete dolt that looks good surrounded by a transcendent player.
I was completely wrong about this team. But I wasnβt wrong about Bud. If the Bucks donβt show some fight in this series he needs to be fired immediately.
Oh, and someone might want to tell Middleton to wake the fuck up.
Bucks have such a mismatch inside yet they donβt even bother. Fuck you Bud.
Khris Middleton is Joe Johnson. Just good enough to get you beat.
Middleton obviously was horrible in the first half, but Bud has decided he is forced to play a zone defense against a team with Kevin Durant?
Giannis, Holiday, and Tucker are guys that individually are some of the best defensive players in the league. Middleton is not a liability on defense. And you act like your team is filled with an entire roster of Bryn Forbes that you have to hide in a zone?
Have to get Lopez off the court. Drop D is a disaster.
Will Giannis hit a FT this series?
Giannis' FTs are gut-wrenchingly awkward right now. 0 for 7.
Giannis is mentally shot right now. He looks like he thinks the series is over. They have to get him right on the off days.
The Bucks are a pretty mentally weak team. Guys like Irving and Durant are confident. They rise to the occasion. Play sharper, smarter, and better under the bright lights.
Bucks are doing what weak teams do- crumble under pressure. They overcame Miami, but against Brooklyn they have to match these two guys who play their best in the big moments. Instead of rising, theyβve wilted.
153-105 from halftime Saturday to the end of the 3rd quarter.
Josh Jackson with a hustle play to cut it to 43!!!!
Done.
14 for 57 from 3 in the two games for the Bucks.
@tsr86free posted:Done.
That's true for the Bucks in this series, Bud as he coach in Milwaukee, and probably Middleton as a Buck.
The Nets know this is over. The Bucks know this series is over. The NBA knows this is over.

I sure hope youβre right. Really thought they had more in them than this. Canβt keep jamming square pegs in round holes. Budenholzer cannot stay on as the head coach of this team. Theyβre not good enough because they are unprepared and mentally deficient.
The coach sets the example, the mentality, tweaks the plan to knock the opponents off balance. The Nets did it by putting Irving on Middleton and getting him to think it was a mismatch. Then as the shots clanged, the rest of the Bucks panicked. The organization cannot ignore it any longer. Itβs over. The Budenholzer era must end. And if Rick Carlisle bows out in Dallas, you have him on speed dial.
I know it's a 7 game series, but I don't know how you come back from this. I think the Nets could have won by 70 tonight had they wanted to. They lead by 49 at one point and even that didn't capture how much they dominated tonight.
The Nets have been missing a first ballot Hall of Famer, one of the greatest perimeter shooters of the last quarter century, for all but one minute of the two games, and the Nets are shooting 44.4% (36 for 81) from behind the arc. The Nets are shooting better from 3-pt range than our two-time MVP is shooting from the free throw line. Heβs 2 for 10. 20%.
As I said before. I am done with Bud. Absolutely done. No arguments, please. His team is mentally soft, maybe the softest team Iβve seen as a Wisconsin sports fan. The Bucks get punched in the mouth, snd they go sit down, suck their thumbs, and have a good cry.
And Middleton? Heβs utterly worthless. Giannis hasnβt played well, but anybody thatβs contended KM is a good #2 is kidding themselves. Heβs good about once every three games against the true top tier teams, and when heβs off, Stevie Wonder could outshoot him. So expect him to have a bang up game 3. The Bucks will win somehow, playing just well enough to give Bucks fans a false hope. Then, Lucy will pull the football away, and weβll land flat on our ass. Good grief.
Middleton is 13 for 43 from the floor (30%), and 3 for 13 from 3. Thatβs 23%. Heβs as predictable as the atomic clock.
I wonβt waste any of my time watching the rest of the series. I know how this ends, and my hopes of seeing a Milwaukee sports team win a title in my lifetime heads into year #50 of futility.
