Not just possible- I think Horst does deserve some credit here, as DD is going to have to compete to keep his job. It makes both better, and gives them the most possible production from the 2G spot. With Hill backing up Holiday and DD and Allen competing for the 2G minutes, they’re going to be in a much better spot.

Whether DD wins the job and answers the bell or Allen elevates his game, the Bucks have both as restricted FAs and an opportunity to keep either or both.

They also get $5M in cap room back after this season with the completion of the Leuer and Sanders buyouts. Their backcourt could be in great shape the next 2 years- which is a huge turnaround even from this year.

The frontcourt is a little different. Lopez will be 35 when his deal expires. Portis is a nice backup but he’s not good enough defensively as a rim protector to be a replacement. Mamukelasvili probably isn’t going to be a great defender, either, even if he does pan out as a rotational player.

They’ll need to address this. They need rim protection and it would be nice to have an upgrade athletically inside with Giannis. They might target a guy like Mo Bamba- who is a RFA after this season and is starting to develop a jumper. They need to maintain that size advantage…

1 year ago today. Enjoyed this more than the Packers super bowl wins. Hopefully they can do it again.

I was more physically exhausted after watching Game 7 of the Nets series last year than any other sporting event I've ever watched. And when Middleton hit the jumper to go up 6 with a minute left in Game 6 in the Finals, I knew it that was it - what a great feeling.

I too enjoyed this more than even the 1996 Super Bowl win. The 1996 win was great, but the game was basically decided in the 3rd quarter. Last year's NBA Finals had two of the best Wisconsin sports moments in history. The sneak in the Ice Bowl (before I was born) was the most iconic, but other than that it doesn't get any better than the Holiday steal and alley-oop to Giannis. And the block on Ayton the game before is one of the greatest defensive plays in Finals history.

And, of course, Giannis dropping a 50 piece in the clincher combined with the 5 blocks is probably the top individual playoff performance in Wisconsin sports history.

I lived in Minneapolis when the Packers won in 1996 but let’s be honest that was by far the best team wire to wire that year.

The 2019 Bucks team was by far the best in the league but Bledsoe killed them and no Holiday.  Fuck Kahwi and the Raptors.

Leave it to ammo to come up with some bullshit take about the 1957 what?  You don’t follow the Bucks anyway so STFU.

The Badgers Final Four team that came up short against Duke is the only team in this state that comes close to the World Champ Bucks team.

20 years from now we may look back on Giannis as the best player to ever play for a team in this state.

Shove it shitmack.  MP commented about a top 5 playoff performance in Wisconsin history.  If you don't think 1 pitcher throwing 3,  count them, 3 complete game victories in a World Series a great feat  you have no apprieciation of Wisconsin sports history.  Go crawl back in your bottle of booze and stay there.

I have an appreciation for the fact they won the title - albeit that team is now the ATL Braves.

Not sure the Lakers care about what they did while in Minneapolis.

And hell no it’s not the same thing.  He went on a Jeff Suppan NLCS run.  Look at his career numbers.  Nice player, but 3x All Star with a career ERA of 3.66.  Giannis could retire today and he has 5x the accomplishments including a Finals MVP.  He’s a transcendent player.

So yeah.  Go ahead and compare them.  Joe Flacco was an above average player but went on an incredible playoff run including SB MVP.  But no one will confuse him with Brett Favre or Aaron Rodgers.  Nor should they.

Robert Horry would like a word with ammo about playoff performances.

The Flakers probably don't care but there  are fans in Minnesota who still care. They did win 3 NBA Championships.  Bet you didn't know that.

The rest of your arguements are nothing but strawmen.

And which Wisconsin teams did Robert Horry play with??  That is what we are talking about,  Wisconsin playoff performances.   Don't think Flacco played for any Wisconsin teams either.    Try to keep up.

Oh piss off ammo.  Or get bent. You choose.

Did you live in MN?  Have you ever even visited the Twin Cities?  Did you follow the Mpls Lakers?  Are you a vampire or 160 years old?

Hint - I did live in Minneapolis.  For almost 15 years. Let me break this to you that no one gives a fuck about the Minneapolis Lakers. Not today or 40 years ago. Most people there don’t care about the Wolves unless they are really good (another hint - not often).

By the way, I keep up just fine.  Maybe I should slow the banter and logic down so you can keep up.  I’m not holding my breath.

You live in podunk SW Wisconsin so you might as well be an Iowa fan. You sure as hell are not an NBA fan or Bucks fan with your moronic takes.

You reference an above average MLBer that went on a great playoff run for a team that hasn’t been in this state for what, 50 years?   And you literally have the balls to say that’s better than Giannis and his historic performance in the NBA Finals?

Just stop posting already.  You sound like a fucking idot. Almost as dumb as MN Goophers fans yammering about their 1940s football championship pedigree.

I bet there are a lot of elderly Minny Laker fans in Minnesota.  But alas, they don't mean a thing to or for you.  Just like there are still Northstar fans.   Just like there are still fans of what the Braves did while in Milwaukee.  If it didn't happen yesterday It don't mean nothing to you.   And being a Buck or NBA fan has nothing to do with this.   If you think Giannis performance is better, so be it.   I know you dislike baseball.   Robin Yount could have hit 10 home runs in the 1982 World Series and you would still say Giannis is better. I think  Burdett's performance is better.  So be it. So as I said before, just crawl back in your bottle of booze and stay there.   I'm done with you.

Lol.  I’ve attended North Star games.  Did you?  Don’t lecture me.  I’m not 25.

On the other hand, you’d have to be elderly to reminisce about Mpls Lakers games.

You started this nonsense with some obscure reference to a player from 50 years ago comparing their postseason performance to Giannis a year ago.   They don’t compare.  The situations don’t compare and the players sure as shit don’t compare.

And no,  I don’t dislike baseball.  I dislike Bud Selig’s cheap ass and his fake hero narrative but have followed the Brewers my whole life.    I just choose to branch out into other WI sports.  Perhaps you should do the same.

You will make a great Bulls fan when Giannis is playing there.

Antetokounmpo was asked by Fox 32 Chicago about the potential of playing for the Bulls in the future. And while reiterating his commitment to the Bucks, Antetokounmpo said he would be open to the idea of one day playing for his rival down Interstate 94.

And you are still a fucking dolt

Go back to what you know.  Being a closet Iowa sports fan and basically one of the most annoying people on this board.

The Bucks have won a title.  Make it two.  How about your precious Brewers?  You don’t follow the NBA so STFU.

I’m not worried about Giannis or the Bucks.  They are set up the next 2-3 years to win it all.   So he commented about the Bulls.  Holy crap!  Let’s mail it in!  Oh the horror!

If you want to contribute to the Bucks forum go ahead.  But you won’t because your some hick from SW Wisco that doesn’t understand the NBA or basketball unless it’s a bunch of white guys playing hoop.   Did I hit too close to home?   Too bad.  Nice attempt at stirring the pot you dipshit.  Go milk some cows.

I grew up milking cows, ended up getting a PhD in molecular biology, and still follow the Bucks, Brewers, and Packers.

I've interacted extensively with about a dozen Nobel laureates in my life. Some of the dairy farmers I was around as a kid growing up in Central Wisconsin were just as smart as the Nobel laureates.

Such a witty yet predictable response from the idots out wandering around contingent.  How’s the mouth breathing going?  Or is a knuckle dragging kinda day?

By the way, I do just fine and I’ll be fine.  Thanks for asking.  My family and kids will be OK as well.

ammo trying to strike a deal.  How about no?  Or will that offend your delicate sensibilities?

MP2 is exempt from criticism.  He’s part unicorn and part alien.

Thanks. I think.

Martyr City was on a different level, but got to give you credit for creativity with the moniker.

Pretty sure he won’t want to have a beer with me.

Longing for what days exactly?  If you can’t get excited about the Bucks and how they play I’m not sure you even like basketball.
