I agree, and that's why I'm not opposed to going with the backup QB who is a Freshman over a guy that won't be here next season. I know that's a risk but I'd rather lose a couple more games and have a seasoned guy next year.

With transfer portal you can’t just assume the backup will be elevated and play several years.  I’m fine with Mordecai being a bridge but honestly Braelon Allen needs to step up.  He’s been average to above average since his first year.  I don’t care what he can bench or squat he should be putting up JT type numbers.

Locke came here through the portal and basically followed Longo. Longo recruited him to Miss. I doubt he's going anywhere. Mordecai was handed the job, Locke won the #2 job over several QBs.

The Air Raid is averaging 6.5 yds per completion, the running game 8.4 per carry.

I do……..but they do know awesomeness when they see and feel it……although the other announcer guy has never felt it.  🤣 but he did say it was pretty cool.

It will come down to whether they can get the WRs and CBs to make it work.

Fickell has shown he can compete at the highest levels, but they have to get NFL caliber DBs no matter what system they run.
