Packers trade back from 30 to about 35, draft a CB and pick up a high 4th
Then they trade their 2nd + 3rd to move up and grab the ILB
The high 4th replaces the late 3rd you just traded

30+ 62+ 94 = 35 + 50 + 104 . (Bills sitting at 50 need more picks)

History tells us if you want to draft an ILB/MLB you get him in the first halves of round 1 or round 2. Since 2005 only 11 out of 37 ILB/MLB's drafted in the first two rounds were drafted outside of that range...6 of those 11 outliers were in 2013 and 2010 (New England accounted for 2 of those 6 strangely). I do agree though that he trades back in to the 30's, but I think he takes his ILB then rather than trade up in the 2nd to get him. CBs have been taken all over the board so I won't be surprised if we follow your scenario and trade up in the 2nd for one,

Boris: I agree with your assessment but it takes 2 to tango; trading to 37 or 38 (ahead of Chi) but should a faller that TT doesn't trust arrive at 30 I think he goes down and if he does- how loud would fans scream if the guy was Green-Beckham.  Seriously I think if he stays at 30 Goldman or Brown will be there and he is the guy.  Trade down I think at 40 Kendricks or Anthony, later in 2 perryman or dawson!

Zero.Zero chance of that happening. (Steve assured me of that much)

IF the Packers draft Perryman at 30, I'll change my name to GD's Bitch

before i saw mayock's mock i was going with perryman.  but a trade down and selecting him in the 2nd.

The Alonzo Highsmith connection is too strong. Ted makes the call, but he listens to his guys. If he doesn't take him at 30 then Reggie McKenzie takes him at the top of r2.

We'll see soon enough.

Nothing against Perryman , just tough to spend that pick on a 2 down player.

End of 2nd?  smoking deal and a gift from above

(I can't breathe )

Trade down would be great but all I'm hearing right now is that more teams want to trade back than trade up.  But this is normal, seems like every year this happens.  And unless there is a QB that falls to the end of round 1 (ie: Teddy Bridgewater last year) or a guy like Ray or Gregory, I don't see why a team picking between 35 and 45 would trade up to 30.  I mean outside of the top 15 picks, there has been so much variety in mocks that leads me to believe there is no player after #15 or so that is worth trading up for.  The guy that is there at #20 is no more talented or a sure thing than the guy there at #30.  Just my take.......but I think we should be ready for a pick at #30 that will be considered a "reach" by some pundits.

My list (in order) for our first round pick:

-Shane Ray - pass rusher too good to pass up despite off field concerns (which IMO, are minor)

-Randy Gregory - same as Ray, just worried about size.  He'd be situational pass rusher in short term, with long term potential to be bookend to CMIII.

-Eddie Goldman - could be the big DE we've been looking for for years

-Eric Kendricks - plus and play on day one, letting CMIII play more OLB this year

-Kevin Johnson - #3 CB that would replace Hayward on outside in nickel

-Stephone Anthony - I really like him, but players above are just better

-Shaq Thompson - athleticism too good to pass up, but too many questions on position/instincts

-Denzel Perryman - will likely be productive but not sure he'll be a difference maker in NFL due to size.  How is he going to cover TE's 6 inches taller than him?

-Jalen Collins - great talent; if there were no off field concerns, he'd be up with Kevin Johnson

-Marcus Peters - same as Collins, except his issues are coachability and attitude on the field
