The Alonzo Highsmith connection is too strong. Ted makes the call, but he listens to his guys. If he doesn't take him at 30 then Reggie McKenzie takes him at the top of r2.
We'll see soon enough.
Nothing against Perryman , just tough to spend that pick on a 2 down player.
End of 2nd?  smoking deal and a gift from above

(I can't breathe )

He's being underrated by fans only because of a poor 40. I don't think he will have any more problems on 3rd down then Kendricks or McKinney, height isn't the only factor for coverage. He's a badass ILB. Listen to this dude talk:
"I'm smart, I'm physical," Perryman said. "I'm a downhill, hard-nosed dog."

"[Alonzo Highsmith] told me he has a to-do list for me on a sheet of paper," Perryman said. "Adrian Peterson and Marshawn Lynch. I was like, 'OK.'"

He could be a movable chess piece and in combination with Hyde, it gives GB a lot of flexibility in nickel defense

So the pass defense over the middle wasn't an issue?  Okay.

The knock on McKinney is pass coverage but we finished 2nd in the league in pass defense, and were good even with Hawk and Jones in there in that category.  I'm just betting TT is sick of ILB's getting knocked around and takes the biggest thumper.

That's exactly what I'm thinking Pistol. GB did a great job not just sacking the QB (top 10 in the league in sacks), but just pressuring the QB in 2014. If you're pressuring, hitting, and/or sacking the QB then there's a flexibility with who is in coverage. There's no way to cover up crappy ILB play against the run. We got run over by too many power runners because our ILBs were finesse players. We need some thumpers.

Then you better be picking up some rotational cover guys.  The middle of the field was trucked both pass and run and you have Barrington as your only starter.  While a thumper is dandy it's only part of the equation.
