Wonder if they had to butter the MRI machine to fit him in there.
Probably looked like he was shot out of a cannon when they pulled him out.

Green Bay - The following is a summary of Packers defensive coordinator Don Capers' , Dan Compers', The Wizard's Monday press conference:
- (General statement) Like how we played run early in the game. We got them into some passing situations. Had excellent pressure. I thought hits on quarterback had a major effect on him. Anytime you have the passing stats like that you feel good. Best thing in my mind was adversity situations. We had five. [3 turnovers, fake punt, failed 4th-and-1] We gave up three points. I thought guys responded the way you would like to see them respond. We won 13 of 18 on third down. We played well down in the red zone for the second week in a row. Areas to improve: Gurley had a 55-yard run. Then in 2-minute we give them a 68-yard pass. Luckily, we rose to the occassion. we gave up a 123 yards on two plays.
- (On cornerbacks) Big part of the game now (is mixing and matching). Those rookies have been challenged. They both have responded well. Those interceptions were big.
- (On QB hits) Probably yesterday was as high as we've been. I think it had a big impact. He was under duress. You saw on the interceptions we had people in his face. I thought he had been very efficient and hadn't been sacked much. A guy like that you don't want to keep him in a rhythm.
- (On defensive pride) I think most of your teams can win a lot of different ways. In 2010, we won a lot of different ways. Scoring defense was good. I think it makes us a better team when we can do that.
- (On blitzes) You see more of them if they're working. One thing in this game if htey're working you go to them more. We got a lot of pressure on four-man rush. Saw Clay with pressure. Julius. Datone Jones. Tied with our coverage well.
- (On Banjo) Chris has really done a good job. You know he's done a good job for us. He's a smart guy, knows all the adjustments. Two out of the last three games gone in with two safeties.
- (On Joe Thomas) Watched him on practice field. You saw him show up when given opportunities. Been able to see him take part in that role (dime backer). We've had a lot of young guys like that.
- (On Burnett out) Have a little more depth. Happened (negatively) to us last year with him out. Now Ha is in his scond year. We have guys in positions for a couple of years. Those guys have done a good job communicating. Our depth has been tested through five games.
Heavily influenced by Das Boot.
The same concern on Nick Perry is the same one on a player like Davon House (who has dealt with dehydration, a kick to the balls by Gronk, and other nagging issues this year).
When healthy, Nick is a good player and is a good run defender. But like House, it seems some random, weird injury always follows.
Since he'll be a UFA I assume just like House some team will overpay and TT will politely tip his cap to him. Hopefully the shoulder is going to be OK but something tells me this will be another "will miss some time" -speak from MM which will be preceded by a more detailed tweet by Ian Rap.
Edit: Here's Houses' latest sprained vagina;
Cornerback Davon House suffered a hip contusion against the Buccaneers and will continue to be evaluated.

@PackersNotes: Combined record of Packers five opponents is 8-17. None has a winning record.
@PackersNotes: Packers next three opponents have a combined record of 11-2. Two of them are undefeated.
Was looking at the Schedule last night. If you take away the losses we gave the teams we played, they are 8-12. Looking at who they played:
The Chiefs also have losses to 3 undefeated teams (Us, Bengals and Broncos). So they are not as bad as their 1-4 record.
Rams are strange, own their division with wins against AZ and SEA, but lose to the Steelers and Skins.
Seahwaks have losses to 2 undefeated teams, Pack and Bengals, and the Rams. Their only wins are against the Bears and Lions. Lions win is tainted. It's looking like this team took a major step back.
49ers suck
Bears suck
In conclusion. We won't know **** until week 14 or so.
quote:@TJLang70's knee felt good enough that he escaped @TomSilverstein and me in locker room.
@RapSheet tweets:
@RapSheet: #Packers OL TJ Lang has a minor knee sprain, source said. He has a chance to play this week, though maybe an outside chance.
Interesting..
Two thoughts:
--Given the respectable showing of Lang's replacements, let him rest through the bye. We'll need him in Denver.
--I have a feeling Eddie is gonna go off on the Chargers. Just a feeling. 150+ yards.

@PackersNotes: Combined record of Packers five opponents is 8-17. None has a winning record.
In comparison to the rest our co-unbeaten opponents records
10-13 Falcons 5-0
8-11 Patriots 4-0
8-16 Bengals 5-0
7-17 Broncos 5-0
5-15 Panthers 4-0
A common tale so far but should even out more as the season goes on I imagine.
Then you also have to look at them without the losses to the unbeaten.
10-8 Falcons 5-0
8-7 Patriots 4-0
8-11 Bengals 5-0
7-12 Broncos 5-0
5-11 Panthers 4-0
Numbers are fun
Found on the internet: Packers currently 2nd in the NFL in opponents passer rating (behind NY Jets) and 2nd in sacks (behind Denver). Already have 20 sacks this year; the 2011 Packers defense only recorded 29 in 16 games.
This weekend will be a good test – SD Chargers are 6th in offense passer rating. Of the remaining 10 games on Packers schedule, only Arizona (4) is in the top ten in offense passer rating.
As Dolphins new coach Dan Campbell said on Saturday, “We’re about to wake the sleeping giant.”
Bombing Pearl Harbor seems a bit radical...but points for effort.
The defense is clearly legit. Todd Gurley is going to run for big yardage on a lot of defenses. Lacy is a good RB and the difference in talent between the two was startling.
The big thing that worries me about the offense is the lack of speed right now. There is no one getting any snaps that will scare anyone deep. Neither Lacy or Starks is a burner and watching Richard Rodgers play TE is like watching a slower version of Bubba Franks (without the blocking ability). Richard Rodgers is a good #2 TE, but he's not even in the same galaxy as the league's top TEs.
James Jones never was fast and has lost a step and Cobb and Montgomery are both slot guys - quick but not deep threats. Adams isn't a burner either.
Other than scheming to get Cobb or Montgomery favorable matchups in the slot, there isn't much separation by the WRs and TEs. If they don't establish some kind of deep threat, teams are going to continue to do what the Rams did and make the receivers win matchups. Jordy got separation on guys, maybe Adams will, but no other outside receiver does. Not every team has the DL the Rams do, but those that do may be our playoff opponents.
You can maybe get away without a deep threat at WR if your TE can stretch the field down the middle and vice versa. But if you don't have either it's likely going to eventually bite you.
Out of my ken here, but MM and brain trust might pick up a few things from studying the Pats passing game. Yeah they've got Gronk but Billy and co. have made chicken salad out of chicken **** for some time without marquee WRs. Don't go telling me there's anything Brady can do that Aaron Rodgers can't.

Btw the Pack will be these threads this week:
'Tis blasphemy to have one of these in #15

Nice get oldschool.
With a rash of injuries along the O-line, Chargers HC Mike McCoy was asked if the team should have drafted an offensive lineman in the first round instead of a running back: "We are very pleased with who we picked. Melvin Gordon is a special player."
Wish the best for Gordon (except this week) but I do wonder if he'll prove to be yet another product of the W system where RB's aren't expected to block or be great receivers and run through holes a '78 Cutlass could get through. Montee Ball has been a bust. We all remember Ron Dayne falling flat on his big ass. I just wonder if Gordon will come close to living up to a 1st round pick...
Granted the Bolts OL is turrible but Gordon looked rather unimpressive last night

While on paper I would agree with you 100% we just keep seeing Mother****er Jones making amazing deep ball catches.
It's nice to have the deep threat but this offense is so multi-faceted it isn't necessary and still Jones leads the league on deep plays.
I also think you severely overstating the greatness of Gurley in comparison to the Packers running game without assessing the style of players the injuries on both sides of the line that made Gurley the next AP, all stats and no rings.
Dikrod slower than Bubba? That's just ****ing stupid.
JFC. Blockhead Simms once again.
#Packers-#Chargers will have Jim Nantz and Phil Simms on the call with Tracy Wolfson on the sideline for @NFLonCBS.

Deep threat ? Check out how fast Hutson's eyes move from his hands to his feet
Packers need a deep threat, but having two guys who can widen the field is probably just as important. It keeps the safety busy and widens the LBs in their zone drops. That gives more room to Cobb and Lacy. Here's the Rams vs Cobb and they were so un-worried about the outside, they can commit a safety to doubling Cobb

Mr. Nelson made the field wider.... and so long as Jones + Adams can do a bit of that, GB offense will be fine. Rodgers prefers to attack outside anyways and that's a part of his low INT numbers. Not every QB has the strength and accuracy to work the boundary, Rodgers made it an art form.
Also noted: Chargers are anemic at corner because of injuries
Silverstein with injury updates:
Green Bay - The Green Bay Packers dodged another potential long-term injury when it was discovered that OLB Nick Perry had suffered a sprained AC joint in his left shoulder and could return in a couple of weeks.
According to two sources familiar with the situation, Perry's shoulder sprain is expected to keep him out of the game Sunday against San Diego. But it does not require surgery and the time frame for his return is 2 to 4 weeks.
Perry was one of three prominent players knocked out of the Packers' 24-10 victory over the St. Louis Rams Sunday at Lambeau Field. Nose tackle B.J. Raji (groin) and guard T.J. Lang (knee) were the other two and both said on Monday that their injuries were not major.
Lang said that he would be ready for the Chargers game.
The Packers have their bye next week, which would mean Perry would have three weeks of healing before the next game, which is at Denver on Monday night, Nov. 2.
The injury Perry suffered is not to the same shoulder that required off-season surgery. Perry played with a right shoulder injury much of last season and disclosed during off-season workouts that he had it operated on shortly after the season ended.
He has played in every game this season and was off to the best start of his career. In four games, he had 13 tackles, 3 1/2 sacks and a forced fumble. Perry ranks third on the team in sacks, trailing only Clay Matthews and Julius Peppers, who each have 4 1/2 ...

That game with the Broncos is Sunday night.
That is awesome news on Perry. MM's presser the other day and the fact that Perry had his arm in a sling didn't leave me feeling too confident that it was anything other than a significant injury
Perry is GB's best run defender at OLB and this season he's actually been getting to the passer

Could be a big day for our D, in all facets. Rivers is going to be majorly pressured, and I can see the Packers pick machine getting warmed up now... maybe 7 sacks and 4 or 5 picks for our D.
4 or 5 INT's? After just having 4?
If that happens....BLOWOUT!
I look for Lacy to get on track this week.
and Rodgers will find the deep ball for a TD. Someway. Somehow. Cobb. Montgomery.
Our secondary is loaded with true ball hawks. These guys are going to feed off of each other in what I suspect will be some friendly competition for the most picks. Our pass rush will certainly help matters there against an injury plagued SD OL. I bet we see a big game from all of our DBs.
Funny, Rollins took over the slot for Hayward against STL, then Hayward bounced opposite Shields, moving Randall to the bench. I'm sure that did not sit well with Damarious. If he gets another shot, I suspect he will be making big plays on the ball. This is a pretty competitive group all the way through.
Melvin Gordon is getting more involved in the passing game, plus they have that little ding dong Woodhead. This is probably a game where the GB defense torments Rivers because of the poor O line. I expect 4-6 sacks again. I think they have been pretty good against TEs this year, so hopefully Gates doesn't hurt them.
Of topic, Lacy is too fat!

I can never get enough of this, sorry
They better tackle well this week, especially Woodhead who is one slippery little dude.. Rivers gets that ball out quickly. There will be no 6 sack game and definitely no 4 INT game.
Green Bay — The following is a summary of Packers' coach Mike McCarthy's pre-practice press conference Wednesday:
- (On this week's mood) It's definitely a different week in that we're playing a different opponent, an uncommon opponent. There's a lot of people in our locker room who never played against the Chargers. ... We're focused on the Chargers. They're somewhat like we are, going through some injuries and things like that. Frankly, I don’t want to hear about the bye week. I don’t want to hear about plane reservations and those things.
- (On an uncommon opponent) You look at the way their first five games have gone, they've had a lot of people in and out. Getting (Antonio) Gates back Monday night against Pittsburgh helped them.
- (On examining Monday night's game) Rivers is an outstanding quarterback, and really his command at the line of scrimmage — you talk about Aaron and Brady and Manning and Philip Rivers. ... He does a good job getting the ball to his key people. Very impressed with the receiver corps. ... This is a big challenge. There's a reason why their numbers on offense are No. 3 in the league.
- (On Melvin Gordon) I think he's doing a good job. Just coming out of the defensive meetings, he has good tape. ... He's one of three backs that they use, but I think he's making a nice adjustment.
- (On health related with the bye week) I know I've used the term "high side of caution" but that's more of a medical philosophy. My philosophy is if the guys are healthy, they should play. If they're not healthy, they shouldn't play. ... No one is 100 percent and won't be for some time.
- (On Davante Adams, Morgan Burnett, T.J. Lang, B.J. Raji) I know they're all going to try to do some things in the pre-practice and then we'll go from there. Nick Perry is the farthest one away.
- (On running struggles last week) We answered those questions Monday. Very good front. It's a different game plan, different defense (this week) as far as the design.
(On Dom Capers) Dom Capers’ role is the same that it’s always been. Dom is an outstanding football coach. You won’t find anybody more detailed. Maybe you’d like to think you’re as detailed, but he’s the same guy every day. He’s a true professional, and he’s done it for multiple decades.
(On coaching with Capers) Dom is old school in every which way... uses highlighters and white out. He’s very systematic in everything he does, very creative, and he’s surrounded by a very creative, talented defensive staff.
- (On Randall Cobb) He's definitely someone that could have played in the 1960s or the 1990s. He's a different type that way. Again, I'm not going to get into the definition of health. I think it's a real credit to Randall the man in what he's done so far.
- (On Gates' performance Monday) It looked like he didn't lose a step, that's for sure. He looked good. ... He looks as good as the last time we played them, and that's been quite some time.
- (On Rodgers after turnovers) You win a game by 14 points in this league, that's a decisive victory. But then you break it down in all three phases and so forth. Monday was a little rough in that room. ... I had a chance to talk with him yesterday. He's looking forward to adjusting and moving forward against (the Chargers).
- (On the Packers' defense this season) It's important for us to be a well-balanced football team. For as great as 2011 was, winning 15 regular season games, it was a big piece of humble pie. You get into that playoff race and things are different, the competition is different. ... It's about playing to a standard of football. ... That's why this challenge against San Diego is so tough to me. They have a high-powered offense and a defense that gets off the field on third down.
- (On defensive success) I think you have to give the players and the defensive staff a lot of credit for the fast start. ... We're a year older, most of the guys are back from last year. They have a better understanding of the system.
- (On pass rush success) I thought '07 was a good group. We were a different defense with a four-man line, basically. But I think we can be that type. I think we definitely have a chance to be the best in 10 years.
Will Packer fans catch a glimpse of ILB Denzel Perryman on Sunday ?
He certainly had a lot of attention and interest from Packer Nation
Lambo nailed a 54 yarder at home on Monday, how will Lambo fare at Lambeau ?
"Melvin Gordon said he will meet up with former Wisconsin teammate Jarred Abbrederis, "That's my boy," he said. "I'm looking forward to seeing my man."
Chargers actually field 2 Melvin's - Gordon and Ingraham
