CM3 could be playing in 13 days.

Sacks are sacks, right?

While their pass rush has been more than adequate with 11 sacks in the three games without Matthews, only one of those came from an outside linebacker.

Does it matter if they come from an OLB or ILB or DL or blitzing DB? They've won those 3 games...

I guess sacks from OLBs are better than sacks from DL.

A thumb injury derailed Clay Matthews season last year. Clay broke the thumb twice, and even when he tried to play on it, the sizable cast he wore clearly affected his ability to rush the passer.

In an interview with Colin Cowherd on ESPN Radio, Clay updated how his thumb was healing:

It’s been doing well. I’ve been getting physical therapy three times a week. I’ve been able to work out with a few limitations, but from talking with the doctors there shouldn’t be any limitations once next season rolls around. It’s just been a pain because obviously you look at it, it’s just a broken thumb. But it’s such an aggravating injury for a pass-rusher, especially in the manner in which I did it twice and having to have it surgically repaired twice, it doesn’t make it for an easy offseason in recovery.

A fully healthy Matthews is a beast and the good news for Packers fans is that the thumb that hampered Clay for too long in 2013 shouldn't be a problem next season. Here's hoping to Clay's speedy recovery!
