If Doubs catches the ball and if he doesn't get called for pass interference and if a better play was called and if Aaron Jones was actually in the game and.............

You really are clueless. At least you're consistent so there's that....

I'm guessing the route was supposed to go as Romeo was going to run it but Rodgers saw the CB dropping back into that zone and the the other hash / corner being wide open.     He assumed Romeo would continue on instead of cuttin back as the play was designed but Romeo didn't read it.

Either that or he just ran the wrong route.    The roll action to the right and then deep post back to the left sideline doesn't make sense unless Rodgers was supposed to pull up and stay in the pocket after a couple steps of rolling right.

The next tweet says Doubs actually ran the correct route and the break he made was correct. Obviously, Doubs should have cut it the other way, but the safety wasn't near him soon enough for him to see it and adjust. He's a rookie. Now you have a conundrum: if Rodgers throws it as it's designed, Doubs may still make the catch, but it's more difficult with the safety coming over. You also have to ask, does Doubs know that there was no DB behind him or not?

So, who's in the wrong: the guy running the correct route as it was called and he saw it, or the guy throwing the ball to a WR who's not there but should have read the D?

And the body language of Doubs was interesting: it looked like he knew he was going to be chewed out for something again... Not much confidence left in him.

MLF said it was a rookie mistake and although he ran the called for route so he couldn't blame him but .... he should have recognized the blown coverage , held his hand up, and ran to where AR threw the ball. These are the things that AR talks about showing video of former WRs making these adjustments.

They would be best to not be buyers at this point.  A good WR will cost them at least a 2 and if they continue to suck that 2nd rounder could end up being a decent pick next year.

Why do you care?   You keep saying Gutey drafts bad but you want to keep a 2 instead of trading for a guy now.  You keep saying you are done watching the Packers but here you are flapping your gums.   JFC!!!!!!!!!

Tht's assuming it was the right route.   Why have the QB roll all the way to the right to then try and throw accross his body deep to the other side.

The more I think about it, I think Doubs ran the wrong route.

Sad. Who runs TOWARD the safety?

How about a raw as can be 4th round rookie?

Really unfair for Doubs to be getting as much flack as he has given that he has outperformed what could reasonably be expected of him this season.

Even more unfair is the fact that Packer management, by indisputably botching the WR position, has set Doubs up to fail.

Keep your head up Romeo, I see good things for you in 2024 if not 2023.

Like many on this board, the Packers seem to be using rookie receivers as whipping boys, particularly AR.

"A suckage of offense,"

I listened to five minutes, and this is a microcosm of the back and forth on this board. I'm in the Silverstein camp. It's only fair to say the wrs can't have drops, and they bear responsibility for mistakes. But Rodgers, this year more than ever, is treating outlet throws and checkdowns as an afterthought. He's sloppy with his throws, and often times makes snap decisions that leave no margin for error. It's true that any potential target needs to be ready to expect the ball at any given moment. But Rodgers very often does this sleight of hand thing and then blames the target if a ball is incomplete. This would be uncharacteristic of a veteran hof guy. But it's worse than that to me. It seems, looking at his delivery and body language, as if he's grudgingly taking checkdowns, and as a result he's become quite careless with his ball placement. I mentioned the shit throw to Jones on the sideline, but Silverstein is dead on that there were numerous bad throws that should be routine. On the Doubs third down "drop", it was another late snap decision and underthrown ball to a rookie in a big spot. Yes, Doubs should have caught it. Davante makes that play 100 times out of 100. But it WAS a shitty throw, and Rodgers comes out of that play like none of it was on him. If these guys are young and inexperienced, it's up to the vets on the field to get them on the right path. The mistakes, whether due to inexperience or lack of concentration, are far too numerous and happen over and over again to the point where it's 100% understandable that they never find a rhythm. 12 needs to own his own shit and be better. The passive aggressive blame and fingerpointing isn't the stuff of a field general. It's downright embarrassing to watch crap teams being able to execute hands down better than this group, and it's happening every week now.

Spoon said it best...it's hard to have faith when you don't see the offense improving.

OL played better, but let's be real...Commodes didn't blitz once. They didn't need to. Defenses aren't doing anything exotic because they don't have to. This is a terrible offense right now. You can call out players all day for not executing...but let's call out the coaches for not coming up with better solutions. This is the same shit that eventually got McVince fired "we do what we do."

Packers keep performing at this level, there will be a chorus of boos at Lambeau...that's when people start getting fired.

Agree, it's not worth it at this point.  Besides, there's o Davante Adams out there.  The only receivers out there are there for a reason, and they aren't that good even though they're better than we have, which isn't saying much.  No one receiver is going to save this season.

Things would have to completely collapse and implode in the locker room for MLF to get fired after 3 straight 13 win seasons.

The games @ CHI and vs DAL will definitely have added interest.  As things stand, who are they going to beat?  DET at home?  Team needs a complete turnaround.

Yep.  Should have happened before the season started by trading AR.

Already there.  I was at the Jets game, fans weren't happy.  Icing on the cake was our first drive of the 4th quarter.  Holding call on Jenkins followed immediately by delay of game penalty.   The boos were deafening after the delay of game penalty.

Oh I'm not saying MLF gets fired...but certainly Barry is on the table...although to be fair, the D hasn't been the issue the last couple weeks as much as it has been. Had the Packers been able to move the fucking ball, the defense wouldn't have been on the field so much.

Yep, after the Jets answered the Packers TD with that long ass drive Lambeau was as quiet as I've ever heard it other than the booing and some noise from Jets fans.

This morning on way to work I almost drove off the road when I heard MLFs comments on Amari Rodgers as a returner.

Long story short, he basically said Amari is great in practice and actually said practice is for real and just as legit as a live game to assess someone’s ability.  Um, what?

That sounds a lot like Drayton last year telling everyone how hard they were working and practicing yet come game time they had breakdowns and mistakes galore.
