Yeah I remember when we were all posting on JSonline and they made a huge change to the posting and forums format.

Scoop jumped right on it and made X4 and the rest is history.

EGF's training camp reports are legendary. Posters like I2H keeping things in perspective. The CHOCKing, the guy from cleveland was fun too, its been a helluva ride!

Hell I didnt even realize I missed my 10 year. Guess this place is like HS and Collage *wink*.

Lets get our 4th Lombardi!!!!!

Yeah; I think his name was Cracked Helmet or something like that. I seem to remember he had a green and gold cow for an avatar, but I'm probably remembering that wrong. Didn't he have a brother who posted here, too? Or am I remembering that wrong also? I think there was some friction, and they all left. Don't recall the details.

I remember a X4 party in Eau Claire or Lacrosse that she was at. In fact, I think she may have even organized it. Some Packer bar... yeah, I'm pretty sure it was Lacrosse. 2001 pre-season, I wanna say. There was Lorenzo'z Babe, some guy from Eagan or Mendota Heights calling himself MinnesotaCheese, MadtownPackerFan (?) with his nice new Corvette, and several other posters whose names I can't recall. Good time, though; I do remember that much. Can't even remember what I used to call myself back then. "Green and Gold Something-Or-Other."

I don't think we can have a thread like this without remembering and honoring the most venerable old-timer of us all, Isbell2Hutson. Boris did a heck of a thing dedicating yesterday's GDT thread to I2H, and I would like to propose that we dedicate this entire Super Bowl run to our departed friend, who would have given anything to see the Packers make it back to the Big Show one more time.

Married him or sucked the life out of him.

Same difference.
Wow it has been a long time. Almost 11 years. I don't remember how I found the x4 but I didn't post on JSonline. It has been fun thru all the ups and downs. There are a lot of interesting and knowledgable people here and you can actually learn something on occasion.

So here's to another 10 years on X4.

Yeah! I remember that! I was trying to remember the story behind that, but couldn't recall the names. I was thinking it had something to do with Squirrelpee; got her mixed up with Peekaboo.

Peekaboo was supposedly a helicopter pilot, right? Had a Chinook or a Sea Stallion for an avatar, I think. Was any of that on the level at all, or was it a total fiction? How did people figure it out, anyway?

All B.S.

Scoop looked up their ISP addresses; they were all from the same computer in the U.S. Then he confessed.

Douche played off people's 9-11 patriotism. Doesn't get much douchier than that.

Yup, I remember getting the e-mail to leave JS head to where the grass was greener!!

Some of you problably don't remember Archieroo2 and the discussion on how Trent Dilfer was better the Brent somebody or other.

quote:
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Many on this board have argued that Favre is the greatest QB of all time. Many have also thought of Trent Dilfer as a joke.

Last year was TD's first year in a QB-friendly offense. In fact, it was the same WCO installed by Holmgren that BF pays in.

Many on this board think Favre had a super-fabulous season last year, his 10th or 11th year running the same offense. What would you say if I told you that TD, in his first year in the same offense had virtually identical stats to your guy?! That's right, same QB rating, same TD/GS and TD/TO (TurnOver) ratio. And TD only started 4 games! And TD's QB rating was 20 points higher in his first 4 games in the WCO than his career average, suggesting that this very QB-friendly offense INFLATES a QB's stats.

Yes, BF can throw the ball through a brick wall and TD can't but as QBs go, TD did as well in 4 games under this system as Brett did in his 11th season over the course of a full season. BF had his usual WRs who he was very comfortable with whereas TD had to adjust to new WRs, including a rookie who played injured the entire year!

Could it be that Trent Dilfer is the greatest QB who ever lived? Why not?! TD has a better SB record than BF, so I guess he wins the tie-breaker.

Cracked Helmet had many family members on here, 3 brothers and his mother. Quite a few of us were at his wedding in the Twin Cities. There was also a get together in Mauston which Quiet One brought some kind of daquiri slush. We also met Hauser's brother there. Wow, that was a while ago for sure.

LoBabe did a party at LaCrosse which was not too far for me, but I had something else going on and could not make it.

At one point yesterday with about 2 minutes to play, I was close to the fetal position but when I finally came back in the house and had the courage to look at the TV, I just kept thinking..... serenity now!

I don't know about the rest of you, but I know I was screaming "Get down!" at Shields when he made the final interception. Smiler
Actually 11.

I'd like to thank everyone that donates to help keep x4 running. It's very helpful and appreciated.

I can't believe the Packers are in the Super Bowl.
Holy crap! I have been lurking on this site for almost 11 years now.

I was living in the South and trying to keep up with Packer news so I joined the JSO Forum. One day they changed the format and all of a sudden every post was about how much the JSO sucked. I opened a link to Scoops new forum and thought it looked OK. A few days later I joined and the rest is history.

Now I can look back and think about all the great things I could have accomplished if I hadn't spent so much time here.

Go Packers!!!
Long time reader, but not much of a poster. This has always been the first place I go to catch up on my football news. Hard to believe it's been so long since the JSonline switchover. Even harder to believe it's been so long since the Packers last went to the Super Bowl. I was 21 then, almost 34 now.

Thanks, X4.

Thank you, Boris.

Go Pack!
There was a get-to-gether in Hudson once too. I made that one. LB, VG, DD and a few others were there.

It was a quieter simpler time. We all waited around for our dial up to refresh and by the time we got to type our sarcastic biting comments we had forgotten them so instead we just quoted Monty Python
Like a lot of others, lurking for years--and remember the JSonline days.
Never post much, but love to follow

Thanks to Boris and the mod's for all the work, and all you posters with 5 digit post counts for keeping things entertaining!
