Congrats to the Old Guard of Times Four

I'm seeing posts from people whose names I haven't seen for ages. This journey to the Super Bowl is a Packer fan's Homecoming of sorts.

Not quite 11 years for me. Really can't remember how I got here. Been living in Illinois since July of 87. The victory Sunday is something that the Bears Fans and team will have to live with for awhile. Getting beat by your division rival on your home turf in the NFCCG. This is a good feeling for a Packers Fan.

Been about 10 years for me. I do miss alot of the old posters such as I2H he was from my home town but never got to meet him unfortunately.

One thing I'd be interested to know is if some of our fellow Old Guard posters are actually ex-Packers.

I swear I remember Boris or someone else mentioning that some ex-Packers did frequent the site. For any ex-Packers reading this board, no matter how good or bad you did I appreciate the blood and guts you spilled out on the football field to entertain us fans.

Even a guy like TJ Rubley that certainly didn't have much success in GB, if nothing else he entertained us and got to be part of Packer lore for awhile. Here's to all the ex-Packers and may they bask in the glow of the first NFC Championship for this team in 13 years.

I miss LIONHEART too. LS does it so well. Could it be that LS IS LIONHEART!! LOL! I remember the old JSO forum. I left when they either wanted money to stay or register or something goofy like that. I remember getting our first Mac after Gore invented the internets and how cool it was getting Packer info in NY. There was a NFL chat site in 96 that was a blast with some guy pretending to be Andre Rison. Don't post much but read all the threads.

Great thread. So many names I haven't heard in years. I used to live for EternalGameFace's reports.

I remember meeting you at the wedding, but for some reason I don't recall you at the LaCrosse get together. Which is surprising, because I so much enjoyed talking to you at the wedding. You'd think I'd remember spending time with you at the other one, but I'm guessing I just didn't know who you were yet, and when we met again at the wedding I didn't make the connection and remember having met you before. At LaCrosse, I'd only been posting a month or two, and didn't know most of the people at all.

Glad to see you're doing well, though - you're a very nice person, and I enjoyed chatting with you at the wedding. As for Mokeski, I'll say hi if I see him, but we don't talk. I know who he is, but I don't think he knows me from the board. He doesn't seem to recognize me in that context. I'll re-introduce myself to him, though, and say hello for you. He's a nice guy, if I remember correctly.

Mr. QuietOne was with me in LaCrosse. I came to the wedding by myself but hung around with the Ammos mostly.

Dang...this is getting me in the mood for a get-together. It's been WAY too long.

I owe everything to Chickenboy. After I moved to Minnesota, he told me about this place. Thanks CB.

I remember when I started here my computer was so old it had a crank on the side and I had to walk uphill in the snow, 15 miles both ways, just to get to it. Actually the dial up thing really sucked. I just can't believe its been 13 years since the last superbowl. Best to enjoy the thing, doesn't come around often enough.

I lurked on here for a couple years before joining in '02. I mostly observe, and I also miss posters like LIONHEART, Viking Girl and Dilweed. Annoying yet entertaining.

You guys all know that Henry and I dated, right?

..and I was here way before naterpack.

Benzene drove me to squirrel's house. That was a nice time. squirrel's husband is a real nice guy too.

Lionheart was a savant - brilliant, absolutely brilliant.

This is nostalgic and in ways even sad, but, truth be told, I can be a pretty sensitive guy.

Seeing some of the monikors that I hadn't seen before is a bit sad.

I did google LIONHEART, Lions fan etc but just found a lot of junk...

If I had more time I'd look further but gotta get on my taxes.

I'm also a long time lurker (used to read x4 and Zbud), who doesn't really post at all (I waited a few years to even register!)

Just wanted to say thanks to everyone for making the forum entertaining and allowing me to get some Packer fix in everyday!
