Coming off one of the most dramatic victories in team history, the real America's Team, your NFC North leading Green Bay Packers (8-4), return home to take on one of their most storied rivals, the Dallas Cowboys (3-8 pending the Monday night game vs. Washington).

Next Sunday, December 13, on the Fox national late game, at 3:25 PM LFT, with Joe Buck and Troy Aikman on the call.

The Cowboys come into Wisconsin having lost 4 straight to the Packers, including their defeat 11 months ago in the NFC playoffs, 26-21. Green Bay has won five of its last six home games against Dallas, and 3-0 all-time at Lambeau Field in games played in December or January -- a streak which began in 1967 with the greatest championship game in NFL history, the Ice Bowl.

The Packers are entering the final quarter of the season with a division championship, a playoff berth, a first round bye and playoffs at Lambeau firmly in their sights.

You know what you've got to do, boys.

No excuses in this one. The Cokefiends probably would have a shot with Romo, but the Packers need to roll these clowns in their current state. Jerry isn't putting Romo on IR, because he still thinks he'll have a shot at being back for the NFCCG or Super Bowl. What a delusional tool.

The Cowboys are the team I detest the most, and that's saying a lot with the likes of the Bears and Vikings being around. They've always been arrogant bastards, and remain so to this day. And owned by a pure asshole....

There is no excuse for our defense to not dominate this game. They've got a decent OL, 1 WR, who may not be 100%, and 1 TE, who may be hurt, also. They are averaging a little over 200 yds/game passing, and are ranked 30th in scoring offense (18.5 pts/game).

DallAss has a decent defense statistically, but they've mostly gotten fat on the grease that is the NFCE. Since they may not be able to sustain drives on offense, I think one key to the game would be for US to do just that so we wear them down on defense. This would be a good game to RTFB, even to the point of having a 'unbalanced' offense.

Their wins have come against the Giants, Eagles, and Dolphins. However, the only games they have been blown away in were vs the Falcons (week 3), the Cheatriots, and the Panthers. All other games have been 7 points or less, so their defense can keep them in games. They've also given up 30 points or more in 4 of their 7 losses, so they can be lit up. And we've got the QB that can do it!

If the Cowboys beat Washington tomorrow night they are only one game back in that sorry division.

But it's the NFL East, the greatest football known to man!  Just ask any of the sports commentators, who are disproportionately based on the east coast, and they'll tell you so.

That would require Eddie Lacy not being fat and missing curfew.

Between Starks, Crockett and Lacy, we have the bodies to carry the ball.

Unbalanced or not, we still need better production out of the receivers. Rogers big game against Detroit was a step in the right direction. I'm also fully on board with Janis being out there early in the game again, if only to keep their secondary honest.  Adams looked like he is running a lot better, and Cobb still has Cobb in him.

As far as Jones, the deep routes don't appear to be working. DB's are just blanketing him on those. They need to shorten his game up, IMO.  Use him more like a tight end.

Oh god. A few cocky remarks on here. This Packers team to is no guarantee against anyone.

None of us play the game, so...

But yes, the Packers better bring their game, sure. This is the NFL. To secure their playoff status, they must keep winning. They have to continue to defend at a high level. They must win the battle on the LOS. And hopefully a lesson learned by mister Lacy that it's December and it's all hands on deck. Hopefully the extra couple days gets a couple OL back on the field. And hopefully a WR emerges from this group and playmakes.

All that said... they're going to f'n win because they're at home against a devastated team in the middle of their own December stretch to the playoffs. They better win...

I'm with Timmy in my complete loathing of anything dallass and jerruh.  Crush them, please, embarrass them, please, make jerruh cry - his tears are delicious.
I see the forecast is currently for rain again this Sunday.  I sure hope that changes by then - I'm still soggy from Tday.

Couldn't be a better time to play the 'pokes. No Romo  and having to play a big divisional game tonight will take a lot of their attention. Cassel can throw a good ball occasionally but will also throw a good a number of them to the defense. This would be a good time for Lacy to pull his head out of his arse and get down to business. Defenses will continue to sit on the receivers until he does.  There's got to be more going on there than we're hearing. Agree that on paper the Pack should win, but they better be vigilant and hopefully they've put the Detroit miracle out their head.

A curb-stomping of the Cowboys would be a welcome change.

I'm not predicting a curb-stomping, because last time I did that the Packers got into a funk they still haven't recovered from, but would really like to see any old kinda win.

A curb stomping means the offense has to put up points in the first half. In the six games since the bye the offense has not scored more than 1 TD in any first half. Go up by something like 21-3 against a team with a back-up QB and the Cowboys may pack it in. Struggle to get into the endzone and go into the half up something like 10-6 and the Cowboys will start to believe they can win.

First half points since the bye:

Denver 7

Carolina 7

Detroit 3

Minnesota 16 (not coincidently their only big win)

Chicago 13

Detroit 0

McCarthy: Eddie Lacy has been rejuvenated

Green Bay — The following is a summary of coach Mike McCarthy's pre-practice press conference on Tuesday:

(On health of the team) So far, so good. They looked good. Weight room work was good. ... We had a chance to review the Lions tape, and now we're moving on to the Dallas install.

(On watching tape from Lions game) I think we did some things better. There's still some things we can obviously improve on. There were a few plays in the first half that were really the difference between 17-0. ... It's important to always watch the tape of yourselves. That's why we took the first part of today to focus on the Lions game.

(On the offensive line's health) Offensive lines that play together each week, I think you just want to do an injury report (and have them on there). If you look at starts, that equates to really good football. It's important. We all understand it starts up front. ... As many games as those guys can play together, it helps your success.

(On Eddie Lacy missing curfew) I think Eddie has been rejuvenated. His work was good today. I look for him to have a very good week of practice and look for him to be productive Sunday. ... We're really focused on today and beating the Cowboys. That's what I want everybody to think about, talk about and that's what we're looking forward to.

(On offensive line talent) It's the best offensive line that I've had in my time here. We're going into our 13th game. We understand the stretch we've been through. It's in the past. We've also shown that eight or nine guys can play.

(On Ty Montgomery) The report this morning was that Ty is feeling better. He's going to try and work today. We'll see. He's going to do as much as he can.

A little more details from Packers.com:

GREEN BAY — What’s done is done with running back Eddie Lacy, and Head Coach Mike McCarthy stressed on Tuesday that all the focus is forward.

“I think Eddie’s been rejuvenated,” McCarthy said. “His work was good today. I checked in with him just like do with all players. I look for him to have a good week of practice and be productive Sunday. We’re worried about what’s in front of us. We talk about what’s behind us way too much.”

Lacy reportedly missed curfew last Wednesday night in Detroit, which is why his playing time against the Lions the next night was drastically reduced despite coming off of back-to-back 100-yard rushing games. McCarthy essentially said any punishment involving Lacy was over and done with.

“Everything Eddie wants to accomplish is right there in front of him, that’s what we’re focused on today,” McCarthy said. “If Eddie or any other player wants to jump up and grab an opportunity, it’s right in front of him.”

The weekend off was good for the Packers’ banged-up offensive line as well. McCarthy said every lineman was going to do at least some work in Tuesday’s light practice except for center Corey Linsley (ankle). Right tackle Bryan Bulaga (ankle) and right guard T.J. Lang (shoulder) missed the Detroit game entirely, while left tackle David Bahktiari (knee) exited the game briefly but returned.

“We’ve had a break here. I look for those guys to bounce back,” McCarthy said. “I thought our backup players did a good job.”

McCarthy also said rookie receiver Ty Montgomery (ankle), who has been out several weeks, would try to practice on Tuesday as well.

The Packers host the Cowboys on Sunday as Green Bay tries to break a rare two-game home losing streak. Dallas is coming off a last-second win Monday night at Washington, keeping the 4-8 Cowboys just one game out of first place in the NFC East. Dallas is playing with backup QB Matt Cassel, but the Cowboys’ defense right now is the strength of their team.

“It’s a very good defense,” McCarthy said. “I thought they were very good last night.”

Packers.com will have more following practice and locker room interviews.

The Green Bay Packers have signed WR Jamel Johnson and RB Ross Scheuerman to the practice squad and released DB Kyle Sebetic from the practice squad. The transactions were announced Tuesday by Executive Vice President, General Manager and Director of Football Operations Ted Thompson.

Johnson, a 6-foot-2, 217-pound rookie, played at Alabama State after transferring from Troy. In his only season at Alabama State, he finished as the third-leading receiver, catching 28 passes for 328 yards (11.7 avg.) and a team-leading five touchdowns. Johnson will wear No. 10 for the Packers.

Scheuerman (SHER-man), a 6-foot, 210-pound rookie out of Lafayette (Pa.) College, originally signed with the Pittsburgh Steelers as a non-drafted free agent on May 8, 2015. He was placed on injured reserve early in training camp and was released on Aug. 28, 2015. Scheuerman played in 45 career games and was a four-time All-Patriot League selection. He finished his collegiate career with 3,504 rushing yards and 31 rushing touchdowns. Scheuerman will wear No. 26 for Green Bay.

Can't believe they would still use #26 after the career Eric Torkelson had.

Is it just me, or when I hear a Packer # discussed, images pop into my head:
