Just do it!

The Brewers have a major impact on the Cubs uphill playoff chances. The Marlins have a suspended game with the Mets, where they lead 2-1 in the 9th inning, that would be completed on Monday if it's a factor. This is the Cubs story.
..........................
If the Cubs were to lose a single game in their series in Milwaukee, they would need the Pirates to sweep the Marlins in Pittsburgh in order to render Monday's game meaningless.
If the Cubs were to lose twice, they would need a Pirates sweep over the Marlins and a ninth-inning Mets comeback in order to qualify for the playoffs.
If the Marlins take two of three games from the Pirates this weekend, the Cubs would need to sweep the Brewers AND need the Mets to come back in the ninth inning against the Marlins on Monday.
My head hurts..but I’m all for Cub angst.
Let’s make it easier for everyone - Marlins magic number is 3.
Rea pitching well, for the Crew, so far.
Yah, looks like Counsell may have found his long relief man against the Cubs, if needed.
Who is managing the Brewers? Mitchell attempted a bunt and now Turang has a successful bunt single. Looks like Counsell is getting some practice in using live action.
This team is going nowhere in the playoffs if the offense doesn’t wake up. Since the 16 run explosion, we’ve barely put any runs on the board. 12 runs in the last 50 innings, or 2.16 runs scored per 9 innings.
That’s not going to get it done.
The Brewers have the bases loaded with no outs, and our best hitter at the plate in Contreras. Hopefully this marks the reversal of this trend, and the offense pummels the Cubs.
Your wish is my command!
Old man with the triple! 3-0 good guys.
Santana busts it open with a 2RBI triple. Also, the Marlins are leading the Pirates 4-3, in the 9th.

Those guys are bunting for base hits. Counsell had nothing to do with that.
RIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHTTTTTTTTTTT!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Marlins just won, 4-3.
Pirates blew a 4-0 in the 8th. I wonder what the Cubs think of that?
Marlins scored 4 runs in the the 8th and also left the bases loaded. Reds also beating Cards 14-2 in the 6th.
Too much to expect a guy with a 4.29 WHIP to pitch a clean inning.
But he did get the 3rd out and knock 16.20 off his ERA. Dropped all the way to 27.00.
Candelario homers to put the Cubs on the board. 3-1.
Morel hits a triple to make things interesting. Brewers outfield asleep. Nobody out.
Morel scores on Gomes' sacrifice. 3-2 now.
I find it hard to believe the Brewers don't have somebody more deserving than Andrews to bring up for the last few games.
I'd bring Williams in for the save just to make sure the Cubs lose and give him some work. I think he's pitched once in the last 10 days.
Boushley coming back in for the 9th.
Mitchell hasn't been cleared medically to slide head first and it just cost him a stolen base.
Tie game. Happ goes deep to Center.
To the bottom of the 9th, we go. 3-3. Walk off time, Crew!
I really disagree with Counsell sending Boushley back out in the 9th. The guy is a career minor leaguer that could have gone out on a high note.
Also, how do the Marlins look at this? I know if the Brewers were trying to gain on a team for the playoffs I'd want other teams to play for the win within reason. Maybe Counsell would rather play the Cubs in round one.
To the 10th we go.
How about that Santana guy walking off!
Alright ! Santana gets it done !
Santana's 2nd walk off this season. The first was against the Brewers! LOL.
What a heart-warming story!!

And you…score zero Hollywood feel good story points.

Definitely not trying to score points.
Who stole your soul?
You need Clarence to come save you. 😀
@Cheezers posted:Even easier now - Marlins magic number is 1!
Thanks for your attendance Cubs fans. Brewers appreciate your $$.
Best case scenario for the Brewers is for the Marlins having to fly to NY on Monday and finish the suspended game they are leading in the 9th. That requires the Cubs to win a few games. We want that magic number to still be one on Monday morning.
